Liverpool and Napoli haven't won a league championship since the same weekend in 1990. Tonight we're chasing a league championship built on scarce resources and having to only overhaul 6 sides in the process. Armed with full backing from his owners, tonight his side are 24 points off the top with 3 games to go.

It's the biggest one of the lot. Player fallouts, coach fallouts, board fallouts, resignations/sackings, fruitless tactics, sh*t selections, sh*t subs, sh*t draws, I could go on, but it's already been covered in minute detail.

But I'll throw you a different nugget of wisdom instead. I sat through his attempts in getting us to beat Palace away in 2005. He failed. Twice. The result was another that stopped us finishing in the top 4 in the league, and the other put us out of the league cup. Tonight is our first time back. I hope Brendan doesn't say "I've never seen football like this, I don't want to talk" to Shreeves at the end of the evening.

When you look at Spurs who sold their best player and then went on to not challenge for a CL place and fail in all the cups, I think Rafa's done a good job.

Losing Cavani and then securing CL football and winning a trophy is an impressive start.

It is a brilliant game, used to play it all the time with my dad when i was a kid. Used to smash him, or did he let me win? I'll never know.

Anyway, congratulations to Rafa, a true winner and the victim of Hicks and Gillett.

Actually that was not the mistake. His mistake was that he tied down 'across the water to a chair and banged his woman in front of him.

Presume you will be judging the present manager in the same terms as you have been pronouncing on Rafa?

If he goes 6 solid years without winning a league with some of the world's best players available to call upon every week, then questions will, and should be, asked.

But as for the other terms, I'll examine them.

No I haven't. I refused to surrender, and haven't regretted it. I'll do it again next year.

City dropped 7 points for us since their derby. It's not their fault if we don't take advantage.
