I dunno mate, slightly disrespectful considering that he is willing to steady the club that we all adore. I think it's just me but it's not even said in a humorous way by all posters but seems to be used as a negative aqgainst him.

Sorry I just think that every man willing to do their best for this club should be respected!

      So basically it's twitter.

Right, I'll reserve me welcoming speech till it's official. And even then with our F***ing owners, I'd be hard pushed to believe it.

Says an awful lot about our club this.

We must be the only club in England able to have our worst season for a decade and still persuade the manager of the year to come and join us. That's how big we are.

Didn't really want this but now he's the manager, let's hope he can do a job for us.

Wonder how we'll do with an English manager.

I sense yor humour mate but on a serious note, he is not the worst manager. I would have him 10x over the likes of O'Neill.

He is an intelligent man and might not be able to buy or keep the world beaters but he will bring stability to our rocking boat and at the moment that is what we need. Who is saying that any other manager apart from Kenny would be able to keep Stevie and Nando? I actually think Stevie will like playing for Hodgson. He and Danny Murphy are boss mates and I bet Danny has text him saying you got a good one, give him a chance.

      I guess that's confirmation enough.

I'm thinking about putting all doubts behind me and just simply saying:

Welcome Roy Hodgson to the greatest football club on the planet.

If the rumour is true then welcome Roy,you will of course get the backing of the supporters,as all Liverpool managers do.But can I ask you a question, what the f*ck inspired you to take on this current poisoned chalice?Oh and a word of advice, dig the dirt on your'e Boss, because he's a tw*t.

I was 100% against this appointment on a number of grounds but now that he's been instilled as our new manager, the slate is wiped clean, I'll back him and judge him solely on his Liverpool FC tenure and not the past.  Here's hoping he proves a lot of us on here utterly wrong.

Don't think he's being sarcastic mate.

Think he's trying to say, how it's amazing that we can have our worst season in a long long time, and then get the (as voted by the FA or some fans, managers etc) manager of the year to become our manager.

That does say alot about how big this club is.
