      Argentina 0 - 4 Germany
      Jul 03, 2010 10:01:06 am
      Oooooooooo...

Arguably the game of the Quarters. I can't wait to watch it. It will be unbelievably attacking. Messi might not play due to the flu, but he probably will play. I can't wait to see Mezut Ozil (best player at World Cup by far) have a go at the weak Argentinian defence, although I do think that Martin Demichelis is the most underrated defender in the whole competition.

      What do you guys think??

I reckon a 4-2 Germany upset. Argentina score early (Heinze from a corner) before Klose and Muller hit back to make it 2-1 just after the hour mark. Then some Messi magic provides an equaliser in the 89th. It will be a hugely tense 3 minutes of stoppage time before a total ransacking effort from Argentina, scoring twice in extra-time to win. Messi scores first just after 15 minutes, before Tevez scores with 5 left in ET.

      I'm excited.

Probably one of the mouth-watering games of the tournament. Both teams have scored alot of goals and hadn't conceded alot.

I am sure we'll see a very attacking game and since it will be Ozil, Muller, Podolski and Klose on one side and Tevez, Messi and Higuain on the other, it will be very, very interesting.

I'm not sure if Argentina had exactly hit their peak but Germany certainly has. I also agree that Mesut Ozil is the best player of the tournament so far.

I don't have a personal favourite for this one because whatever it is, Spain has to play anyone anyway.

      I think that this ^ ^ ^ would be more like a 4 - 2 ARGENTINA upset Elrozzo.  :-\

I do think there'll be a clatter of goals tho'.  ;)

Germany to win. The octopus said so ;).

For those who don't know about it though, the octopus has so far, predicted correctly all of Germany's results in the WC, including the loss to Serbia. It also had an 80% success rate in the Euro08. It has picked Germany to win after much hesitation, meaning that it could go to extra time or even penalties! :O that's according to the octupus!

Raw Video:Psychic Octopus Predicts German WC Win

Just read in the papers there are 62 undergrads analysts anaylsing the 31 World Cup opponents (2 for each country) for months. Then they send the information to the German head of analysis who will then sift through volumes of information accordingly, then compile a final volume for Joachim Loew.

I think in terms of tactical the Germans will get it right, but its all going to be a very exciting game nevertheless.

Don't think Germany have a chance, to be honest.

Their main danger man, as we all know, is Mesut Oezil. England couldn't effectively shut him down because they have sh*te holding midfielders, but in Masch, Argentina have the best in the world. Oezil will be marked out of the game then.

Also, Argentina keep possession well and know how to use the ball. Their attack force is potent, possibly unmatched in this years World Cup.

This will be an interesting game , can't wait . It's gonna be a close one but I think that Germany will win it in e.t like the octopus said ;D . I'm not really supporting any side because like Adryan said , either one will play Spain .

Messi to at least open up the game like no tomorrow.

      BBC are right though

      Messi Di Maria Tevez Higuain

That has to be one of the worlds best strike forces at International level with Spain having Torres + Villa

Muller hadn't scored before the WC for Germany and he has 4 goals in 5 matches.
