I tell you - the only thing this World Cup has taught me is that some players are ridiculously over-valued.

All the star names - all built up by the media.

Messi, Kaka, Ronaldo.  Where are they now?

I didn't know half this German team before the World Cup but they all look immense.

The thing about Germany I think is they play as a team and for each other. More so than any other team in this World Cup. As a team, they're miles ahead of England. And they've been quite some distance from Argentina today.

You can have all the attacking talent in the world but if you can't defend...

Klose might be worth a punt if we have no money, he is 31 and couldn't get on with Bayern last season, his fee can't be that high.

Agreed. If Germany gets to the final, I would expect him to be awarded the best player of the WC.

As for Argentina... :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

The Hives - "Hate to Say I Told You So" Burning Heart Records

Most overrated team in the competition. I've said that several times and now Germany made it quite clear. Not only their defense is a joke, they're not that good going forward either. They have great players but not a great team. Most of their goals were lucky or just crap. 3 illegal goals too. Could hardly beat Nigeria, had a hard time vs Korea (till they scored an offside goal to make it 3x1) and were being completely dominated by Mexico till ANOTHER offside goal by Tevez.

I'm really looking forward to that cheating attention whore c**t who shares my name press conference, let's see what kind of jokes he has for us now.

Look at that passing game from Germany. That's great, attacking, entertaining football. Argentina were far from it the whole competition. So glad to see they are out too, at least.

A pleasure to watch that German side

Ive wanted Spain to win this from the start or failing that Holland, but if this German side win it they would be deserved winners and I wouldnt begrudge them

Klose is F***ing garbage (and I'm being nice here) at club level.  The difference between Klose at club and international level is like Clark Kent and Superman.

Definitely the best team of the tournament.

I would say Germany and Spain are the best nations in terms of teamwork and technical abilities. Spain hasn't exactly been top gear though.

Congratulations to Germany, that was a really entertaining. I really want Muller and Ozil at Anfield

And as Brian78 said, I wanted Spain to win it ever since 2008 but if Germany wins it, they totally deserve it.

Wouldn't begrudge the German's winning it myself. They've been amazing.

Efficiency and teamwork all around. Simple stuff but it works and they've knocked 4 past 3 teams in the tournament.

Be a good game next round if Spain get through.

So simple tho. Pass well move well excellent first touch. Wide men stay wide full backs get forward and can defend. Midfielders are top class

With our current problems I'd happily take him, he had a bad season last year but maybe he needs a change.

He works hard is good in the air and gets in good positions I think he could do okay in the Premiership.

      The octopus is brilliant.

What makes Germany really amazing is that only Klose, Friedrich and Butt are above 30 years old (32, 31 and 36 respectively).

They mentioned about the youth system being revamped in 1990 and it's pretty obvious that, that played a huge part considering the likes of Muller, Khedira, Ozil, Kross, Marin and a few more are all below 25.

Everytime they had the ball in the box did you count the amount of german players lining themselves up.

Off topic but low for liverpool.
