QF: Paraguay 0-1 Spain, 3rd July 19:30 - BBC1

The last quarter-final of the tournament.

Two of the four South Americans in the quarter-finals have been knocked out. Will Paraguay be next when they take on Euro 2008 champions?

Obviously Spain is the better team overall but they haven't hit top gear. I reckon Spain should go through easily but I don't want to feel too confident either.

Not sure if I should watch the game though. It's at 2.30 am and I can either go to bed and hope they win or play the PS3 for a couple of hours till the game starts which means I'll sleep at 4.30 am (that if it doesn't go to penalties). My eyes hurt at the moment and I really think I need the sleep because I woke up at 8 am today!

FWIW, Spain's medical team have conditioned them to be in full 100% match fitness now and not before.  Will be interesting to see what effect that has on the team.  Hopefully Torres to bag a goal tonight and the confidence that comes with it.

Torres looks very frustrated, but I hate this whole "Torres has been disappointing crap," He is coming off a knee surgery, he probably isn't 100%.

Spain has to start to play with wingers. Ramos alone can't do everything.

BBC are being pretty unfair on him I feel.  I think they forget he's not long come back so soon after a couple of operations.

I ain't heard as much whinging about the fact that Messi, Rooney and Ronaldo have only got 1 goal between all 3 of them. Alot of the 'top' players have not been performing in the competition.

Torres must be disappointed. Still finding his feet after the surgery.
