I'd like to see another english player added to the squad so bridge or warnock would be good enough in my opinion.

Had a decent last season, imo I think if we could get him on the cheap he would be a good enough english addition to our ranks! I would like to get him and Warnock in to scrap it out for the position, but yes I know that is not possible in our financial situation!

We've been linked with him for a while, but I suppose we've been linked with almost every LB availible at the moment. O'neil won't sell Warnock for a cheap price, and it seems Hodgson wants to stick with English players, so signing the out of favour Bridge would be decent.

Bridge would make sense if Roy' policy is to bring in older, established premiership players (pref english), who should in theory need less time to bed in to a new culture.

I like Bridge, I always have. So, for me, he'd tick all the boxes.

He's 30, sh*te and comes with baggage. Mind you - anyone who can piss John Terry off is fine by me !

good player - prem experience , and english, i'm all for it.

Certainly an improvement on Insua.

A good short term replacement, IMO.

I'm not a big fan of the lad I think he is a very average full back and to be honest I would prefer Figuero.

 I remember watching a highlights programme last season and they picked a selection of Bridge out and said this is a perfect example how not to defend. I think the lad has being massively over rated all through out his career and would turn out to be a poor signing.

Any more than £7m and it won't be good business. Reliable & solid without ever being spectacular, a LB very much in the Steve Finnan mould.

I think Finnan was much much better than this lad, very average player and I think a lot of people will be disappointed with him when they see him on a regular basis

To be fair, he's miles ahead of Insua.

With our current owners we could do alot worse than Wayne Bridge. He'd be an all right stop gap until we get new owners.

Ya it is fair enough to say he is better than Insua, but I personally never liked him as a player thought he was massively over rated.

He is a better play than Figueroa. But, i would still perfer Warnock. If he didn't want to come back to the club (which i can understand, afterall, he only recently left) then i would certainly like Bridge.
