If your looking for a really funny book, with a football theme I can highly recommend The Van by Roddy Doyle,(the guy who wrote The Commitments). Its about two southern Irish fellas who buy an old butty van, and endeavor to do it up prior to the 1990 World Cup. Whereupon they envisage they will make a killing selling food to masses that are watching the Republic Of Ireland, reach the quarter finals of the world cup. If it doesn't have you pissing your pants with laughter, I will eat the proverbial hat
Porno - follow up to Trainspotting and funny as F**k - pretty much anything by Irvine Welsh
Brilliant book, I really hope they make it into a film at some point.
