Which bookies where you at Euro? The concensus I seem to get from Google seems to go along these lines:

      # 7/2 – Frank Rijkaard
      # 2/1 – Martin O’Neill
      # 4/1 – Ralf Rangnick
      # 9/2 – Kenny Dalglish
      # 7/1 – Rafa Benitez
      # 10/1 – Didier Deschamps
      # 14/1 – Guus Hiddink
      # 14/1 – Jürgen Klopp
      # 12/1 – Manuel Pelligrini
      # 16/1 – Owen Coyle
      # 16/1 – Jose Mourinho

Quite a few have Kenny as second favourite but generally it's along them lines.
Both Mourinho and Coyle are 16/1? Something's wrong with this I think.

It would suit Sky for us to remain mediocre. That way they can continue to blow smoke out the mancs arses while ignoring everything that happened prior to the premier league

If Coyle is a good manager - how have we beat them twice this season? :f_tongueincheek:

Please don't be ridiculous. I suppose you'll admit that according to your theory Ancelotti is a better manager than Rafael Benitez because his lot bet us twice last season?

And I dont want Rafa. I know this will spark some views but IMO he has had his time and we need to look forwards.

If we get Martin O'Neill it will actually be a step backwards.

Just a question but we're getting close now, wouldn't it be an idea to have a poll based on say the top 6 that the bookies consider as favourites and a 'other' option. Could help and aim the discussion a bit.

We've gone forwards, we got new owners.  Now we need a manager who is better than Woy, so unless you believe Woy is a better manager than Rafa it is moving forwards.  Not to say there aren't other options out there but to suggest it wouldn't be a step forward is crazy talk or a horribly overused cliche, take your pick.

Exactly, entitled to your opinion. Personally I did want him, and would be happy to have him back. I would feel the same with Kenny, but I don't think he will get it.

My choice would be Villas Boas, as Deschamps is gone.

That would be a good idea and would make the topic more interesting. Is that possible mods?

      Dont want Rijkaard or O,Neil.
Owen Coyle could do the job i think, young - fresh ideas, attack minded, positive football, entertaining football, not some flukey kunt who we were unlucky enough to have had a good euro cup run last season. Coyle hasnt been a manager for long but he has done brilliant work with Burnley and now Bolton. I wonder what his stats are as this seems to be what everybody goes by when they look at players/managers?
