At least he got to the rebound when the ball bounced out of the net.

How the hell we ended up with him in midfield is still baffling me ,we got  shafted big time on this one .

Think they're both not good enough to play for us but if you twisted my arm, I'd say Lucas. He makes up for his lack of abilities with passion and hard work for the shirt. Lucas...has no passion and no footballing abilities. Awful signing.

Many would see the original question as something akin to: "If you were up to your neck in a barrel of sh*te and someone threw a bucket of vomit at you; would you duck?"

However, it's clear to me that young Lucas, given the right role in a different system, may rise above his erstwhile mediocrity. Something that I can not envisage ever being said about Poulsen.

Lucas Leiva as he used to be known in some parts.  I've seen him look more effective in a more attacking role and I'm sure he may have scored a few as an attacking midfielder in Brazil.

Poulsen not at the races for me.  Whether he's just pants or needs time to adapt, I think throwing him in over Lucas has been a big mistake. 

FF'S why is this thread so popular its Lucas all day, i wouldn't give Poulsen a game for that shitty wee club across Stanley park.

I find this a difficult question to the answer. If we are being honest, neither are world-class. Personally, i perfer Lucas but maybe that is more to do with the fact that i have had a good length of time to warm to him. He is also younger and stilol has a lot to learn and yet with Poulsen, he isn't exactly going to improve and awful lot more. I woulod have to say Lucas as a result. He is as good as Poulsen and has the potential to improve a lot more.

lucas.... the lad has had so much stick for years yet he still puts on the red shirt and tries his best even if he does make mistakes .let him attack hes better that way .yet he doesnt complain and just keeps going . i for one would love to see him come good

I cannot think of anyway in which Poulsen is better than Lucas, not one single atribute.

He was a laughing stock at Juve, got booed off by his own fans and well if you're arguing your point like that then Lucas was Brazil u20's captian, was the youngest player ever to win the golden ball and is becoming a regular starter for Brazil, he has also just recieved praise form Dunga.
