How many buyers were there, both interested and meeting financial requirements, at the time FSG took over? Honest question.
Nothing really came out into public knowledge but there were other interested parties but NESV (at the time) were Martin Broughton and Christian Purslows preferred bidders and were the ones pushed to complete
There would always be interested parties in one of the biggest and most famous clubs in world football, not 5 years since European champions .. with the English game on the upcurve in financial terms.. the tv and marketing deals going up and up and up and all they would be paying is the cost of the debt
It's naive to think there weren't far more interested parties.. Like I say NESV were Broughton and Purslows preferred bidders
