Second half of the decade has been pretty brilliant. From the hiring of Klopp, the completion of the Main Stand, the signings, becoming a force in Europe once again, resulting in last year's Champions League win & hopefully bookmarking their first decade almost perfectly with a league title being won in the most exceptional way.
Done some good work off the field too, the £9 Local General sale they introduced upon completion of the Main Stand is brilliant and obviously the development of the Annie Rd end will help ease the crazy demand for tickets a lot more.
As far as owners go we've got pretty lucky. The fact that they seem to leave their egos at the door when it comes to putting right some of the mistakes they've made is a priceless quality and an almost polar opposite to what the Glazers seem to be doing down the road
When they first came in, I did a lot of work finding out everything I could about them, especially Henry, and it was immediately clear to me, that they were the exact opposite of the 2 vultures who came before them.
Henry made a very successful career out of taking long term assets, and building them up, before selling them, and was quite scathing about people like H&G who were the archetypal asset strippers.
However, it wasn't until Mike Gordon increased his stake that we really started to take off.
Obviously, he still reports to Henry, who is head of the group, but a 12% stake in FSG, pretty much gives Gordon control of LFC, and although information about him is hard to come by, it appears the LFC bug has bitten him, and I fully expect him to take over should Henry decide to sell.
Hopefully that's not for a good while yet, but assuming I'm correct, our stability would be assured long term, and by that I mean for the next 20 years at least.
