Which âbig clubsâ are you talking about
City - oil billionaire
Chelsea - Oil billionaire
Man Utd - leveraged debt - spend what they earn
Arsenal - self sufficient,
Spurs - self sufficient
Or abroad maybe
PSG - oil billionaire
Bayern - richest club in Germany but spend what they make
Madrid - debt
Barcelona - debt
We won the Champions League and then the next season we won the league - yet youâre done because we didnât sign anyone 🤔. So winning the league meant nothing to you because we didnât sign anyone 🤷ââď¸
Well, John Henry, let's look at a few clubs in Europe.
Juve - No oil money (yes they have debt but they win leagues)
Inter - No oil money (yes they have debt but just won the league).
Bayern - Generate more money than us and so they can push more money in to success and IT WORKS.
Real - No oil money (yes debt but they win leagues)
Barca - No oil money (yes debt but they win leagues)
I can go on and on tbh.
Do I mind our club having a manageable debt whilst winning leagues? Of course I don't. I watch Wolves and Villa spend more than us. Even Spurs ffs.
If we would have strengthened, whilst on top, then we wouldn't have so much dead wood in our squad now.
You strengthen when you're ahead, that's how all the great clubs do it.
We didn't and now look where we are, debating on how the UEFA CONFERENCE LEAGUE will be good for our second team and youth.
That's what happens when you don't strenthen when ahead.
