But it could indicate that some investors are seeing the end of the LFC (English football) gravy train and there isn't much more upside to be had from owning LFC, or a bit of it. In other words, we have hit peak TV money (in real terms), and the super league door has been closed so the opportunity to make absolutely pots more cash has been closed too. In other words, LFC have just become a sort of Steady Eddie investment, and one with a big downside if we stop making the top 4 on a regular basis.
I've been reliably
told by someone on here - presumably American - that FSG will never (NEVER NEVER NEVER!) sell LFC, but Steady Eddie assets with reasonably high downside risk wouldn't be top of my list of places to invest in. Seems like LeBron agrees.
