They are the owners of a football club in decline. They don't have the ambition to even try and fix it.

Was at a B&B in Blackpool few weeks back on a stag do. On checking in there was a couple in front of us complaining about a leak in their bathroom. The woman apologised went into the back and brought them out a bucket and said there you go.

Reminded me of Liverpool under JWH and FSG.

"Tonight Matthew I'm going to be...an embarrassment to myself"

A club in decline? Do shut up you tart!

Disgusting that City are having a bigger rebuild than us despite winning the treble last season. If we won the treble, we wouldn't have signed anybody for the next 3/4 transfer window.

f***in hell fella, City’s in your head, why the F**k are you so bothered with them ?

Their not a big club, their plastic and buy success rather than build then rebuild, yes we spend too but not to the level of them or of Chavs and probably Newcastle will, I just can’t get my head around why you’re so enamoured about a club who traditionally are not in the same f***in ball park as us and who have only came to prominence because of how rich they are, same as Chavs, same as Newcastle,

Here’s a clue of how f***in deluded their fans are, … I seen a banner of theirs recently where it said….‘we’ve seen things others won’t see’ or words to that effect,

Now hang f***in on… we’ve been doing that for f***in decades, since 1977 to put a bit of accuracy to it, not just in the last six f***in months when winning such accolades needs millions for it to happen, …

      F**k off plastic Cnuts!!!

You’re right - we seem to judge success based on what City accomplish or other state owned clubs.

We should judge against ourselves, if we are being the best we can be then what more can be asked in a practical sense.

14 years ago we were all buzzing about our first title proper title challenge since the start of the prem. Now we look at our accomplishments under Klopp as not enough and a let down. History will see the scale of what we’ve done against what we competed against.

The world has changed and FSG will not sell unless they think it’s worth their time - I couldn’t give a toss about FSG or anyone other club.

Winning isn’t the reason any of us support the club, so I am not going to get wound up at the club failing to keep pace season after season.

In our current model we will have the odd season where we fall short. But the majority will be strong seasons and a proper chance of a trophy at the end of it and it’s that uncertainty of success that makes it all the better when we win. That’s exactly how it’s always been for me supporting the club (born in 92). We have rarely been the best and that made it all the more compelling when we compete.

interesting thoughts why UTD is no longer for sale by Simon Jordan. He suggests the like of Netflix/Amazon are about to go big with football and TV rights will increase significantly which will increase the value of the club added to which at the time of the next WC interest will also by far greater. So there may well be a sound financial reason why FSG didnt press the starting gun on a sale when in 2 or 3 years it could be worth even more. Can't wait to see the UTD faithful protest invaine for the next 3 years

If the figures are true (( not sure I believe anything in social media these days 🤬 )  you’ll be very pleased the success you’ve had under FSG won’t you?

Yeah I am. Owners are owners, not dying about them as a class, but FSG are far from the worst a club can have. Rather have them than the Glazers, or oil barons, no question.

The source isn't social media btw -

"The CIES Football Laboratory was created in 2005 and specialises in the statistical analysis of football.

It is a research group within the wider International Centre for Sports Studies, which was created in 1995 as a joint venture between world football governing body Fifa, the University of Neuchatel, and the city and state of Neuchatel, in north west Switzerland."

Nottingham Forest in the Top 20.
They've done nearly all of that in the last two seasons.

Intriguing. Don't know how Bournemouth and Palace are ahead of Bayern and Real? Everton and Man U standout for their embarrassing lack of progress!

Fenway Sports Group has today announced that global sports investment firm Dynasty Equity has completed a strategic common equity minority investment in Liverpool FC.

“Our long-term commitment to Liverpool remains as strong as ever,” said FSG president Mike Gordon. “We have always said that if there is an investment partner that is right for Liverpool then we would pursue the opportunity to help ensure the club’s long-term financial resiliency and future growth.

“We look forward to building upon the long-standing relationship with Dynasty to further strengthen the club’s financial position and sustain our ambitions for continued success on and off the pitch.”

The minority investment will primarily be used to pay down bank debt incurred during the COVID-19 pandemic and capital expenses made to enhance Anfield, build the AXA Training Centre, repurchase Melwood training ground and, most recently, acquisitions during the summer transfer window.

Longer term, the partnership between Dynasty and FSG will also explore further growth opportunities for Liverpool FC.

“We are honoured to partner with FSG and support the remarkable legacy of Liverpool in a strategic partnership that builds upon mutual respect and deep relationships among our respective teams,” said Dynasty executive chairman Jonathan M. Nelson.

Dynasty’s chief executive officer, K. Don Cornwell, added: “Liverpool is one of the most iconic football clubs in the world with a passionate fanbase and significant global reach. Dynasty is privileged to support the club and work alongside FSG to execute on the tremendous growth opportunities ahead.”

That's pretty much it with FSG....

Anyway, good news on this investment if it does indeed free up funds for strengthening in the near future too....

I'm sure there's a motive behind it other than being passionate about clearing Liverpools debt.

Exactly, find it astonishing how naive some people are on here

A little research into them knows they are investors who’s goal is to maximise returns for their shareholders

Yet people think there is nothing suggesting other wise 😂 despite it being their business to get returns

Still perhaps this is overall more positive because I can’t imagine their dividends being too high since they wouldn’t perhaps be in charge of it

Could be the case they are allowed to sell their stake in the future and it’s not dividend based I guess
