I cried when they left, does that count?  They were tears of joy though... 

Not Heart Wrenching by any means, but one player I really liked was Karl Heinze Reidle, wasn't exactly because he scored loads of goals either I think he only just say managed to get into double figures for two seasons, he just seemed to form an understanding with Owen from the start obviously in Fowlers absence.

Still think he was a great player maybe come to the Prem too late in his career to see the very best of him though.

Rafa. I flashed up on a screen in a fast food place in New Caledonia on holiday. Suffice to say it completely f**cked my holiday.

Alberto Aqualini is getting rave revues in Italy his skill factor is way above anyone we have here right now and after reading about one revue this Italian said we had this guy on the books and it looked like they would take anything to get him off their books as he was the worst player they had, what was RH doing paying 5 mill for Poulsen a player referred to as the worst on their books. To top it all he probably gave them a diamond for next to nothing. RH come in times up.

Used to love Riise. Was gutted when he went, but understood why, although we could do with him now.

Alonso. It's all started going downhill from there.

1) Robbie Fowler-When he left i couldn't understand why i had only really started getting into football a couple off season's before and he was my first real hero the first time i felt depressed in football with something off the pitch   

I used to work with a lad who got invited to a VIP day at Leeds the season after Robbie signed for them. He got talking to an ex Leeds player who was still part of the staff there (forget his name, sorry). With my mate being a Liverpool fan, the conversation soon turned to Robbie. He'd been getting a lot of grief because he wasn't performing well at all and was a shadow of the player he was for us. The Leeds bloke said that he'd had some lengthy conversations with Fowler and explained that when Liverpool sold him, he lost all desire to play football. He was trying his best to remain professional and put some effort in but his heart just wasn't in it because it wasn't LFC. Felt so sorry for Robbie when I heard that, he'd not really done anything wrong and had his heart broken. Glad Rafa gave him another chance to pull on the shirt but he never should have been sold in the first place.

Agreed, I'd say Anelka too. He was only on loan but we obviously had the money to sign him up because we managed to get Diouf and Diao instead! To then read all the comments from himself and other LFC players saying that he fitted in really well and was enjoying himself (contrary to media reports) was heartbreaking. To then find out how sh*t the other 2 were was even more so!
