this will be a tough one! they are playing some good football just at the moment!! tactics need to be spot on!!

The problem with us is, we are unpredictable. We can be Roy Hodgson FC again this game.

what's it gonna take to see johnson back but skrts and greek remain.. does anyone else think sotis can 'replace' carra? he seems to be more athletic for the same age, no? deadly threat around goals too.

honestly one thing that pisses me off most is when we sub. shelvey, came on in minute 88 didn't he? i was half asleep and simply amazed someone was coming on so late i thought the clock was wrong. i thought he was rotating, i mean i'm all for a bunch of players getting majority time on the pitch together but you don't bring a kid on for 5 minutes surely!

No doubt Soto can replace Carragher he is allready better then him going on current form. The question is though will Roy have the balls to drop Carragher if/when Johnson returns ..I think the answer to that question is no.

Shelvey was brought on just so he can have his first senior PL debut nothing more, but I do agree I would love to see us utilise our subs a bit earlier.

What about Konchesky, i think its time Aurelio starts instead, although his poor first touch did get us all crucial cornor which lead to the winner.

Intrigued about this one for the simple fact we've come off the back of a good performance, and to see whether Hodgson decides on a different approach against Bolton.

Even though I thought Konchesky was our weakest link against Blackburn I'd keep him in the team, Aurelio probably isn't match fit yet anyway. Still, the eleven who stared for us against Blackburn did enough in my book to keep their places for the next game. A gripe with mine regarding Rafa was the fact he'd rotate players out of form just for the sake of it after they'd played a blinder the game before; if Roy goes down this route and starts 'tinkering' needlesly it would be the easiest way IMHO to kiss goobye to any head of steam we may have started to acrue against Blackburn.

I have no confidence in Carra I am afraid and I think Konchesky is out of his depth at Anfield. I have seen nothing to convince me othewise.

Soto is very agile and in terms of heading ability both defensive and offensive his is showing his metal.

I would play the midfield and front like this;

Thinking behind Carra being that Davies as far as I know pulls out to the right for them and Carra would match him physically. Lucas plays himself in  based on last week Maxi unlucky but I think Johnson would be an assest on Sunday playing right midfield as an attacking option and cover for Kelly

Damn, this is embarassing but I actually didn't see Carra's name on that team sheet. I'd agree with you. Aurelio at left back, Kelly at right back and Dagger/Kyrgiakos in the centre.

He's someone who'll run at defenders though. Something which we need especially as Steinsson is at Right Back who is awful.
