      They are not Liverpool fans.
Any fan that throws abuse at Carragher i any form is not a fan!!

And any fan that thinks some players are beyond reproach because of past actions is not a fan, we love our history, but I care more about what we're doing as a club today.

its true mate i am led to believe Carra had a go at them for singing Kenny's name and then you have Roy slagging off Johnson in the press its an utter shambles nothing short of it. Only one action will stop all this and JH hasnt the balls to do it he want to wait and appoint a CEO to do it for him.

Understandably they are angry towards Hodgson but it's no surprise. Some of the things I have read even on this site towards Roy have been abysmally low. Not the Liverpool way. We are not Millwall fans. We are Liverpool fans.

Times have changed and people are definitely more vocal about voicing their opinions and anger, we all moan and groan when the team loose, most of us do it between ourselves on the terraces and afterwards in the pub.

I am not Hodgson's biggest fan by any stretch of the imagination and there are several players in the team at the moment who frustrate the hell out of me, but I would never do anything so personal to the Manager or a player, I have more respect than that.

But nothing would surprise me the way some people behave these days. People have a right to be angry when things are going wrong but some people take it too far.

      That's absolutely terrible.

We're all pissed off with Hodgson and the team, and we call them all sorts in jest, but that is indeed a step too far.

Really incredible and sad if we as a fan base have let the frustrations of the past year and a bit get so on top of us that the only outlet we have managed to find with which to deal is mindless threats of violence. I don't care if it was simply 1 out of 1 million supporters doing so, it would be one supporter too many in my book.
And for those advocating that it was at least understandable because they have paid 'good money' getting to and from the game and buying tickets to watch what in truth was a performance of utter garbage, then all I can say is what utter rubbish!
I support this team from thousands of miles away, paying satellite cable and broadband internet provider fees that I promise you would make your head spin, (it's akin to self sanctioned corporate mugging at the hands of my so called providers just so that I watch as many 'Pool games as possible)...but not once have I thought it justifies me literally demanding for the head of the manager or any of the players when quite clearly the performance leaves me feeling numb and bitter to my very core, and IT NEVER WILL!
Life is about choices. Some are smart, others however not so much...
A smart choice would be to vent some of your frustrations on a forum such as this, grab a few cans of the stuff we use to promote on our shirts 'til this season and responsibly ease the pain, vent your anger among fellow 'Pool fans, scream, heck do anything that helps you deal but certainly do not threaten violence. It makes you shudder at what a piss poor choice some are able to make... :(

      Thats bad form Jonty.

Cant say I'm overly surprised though. You only have to read some of the things that are getting written about him in many forums, including this one, to realise that not only have supporters lost faith in him (many never had any to lose), but they are openly despising the man.

A real shame if you ask me, as the manager of our club he deserves better.  I know people think he is out of his depth for the job (i have to admit i'm one of them), but some of the abuse he is taking on forums, and now first hand from supporters, is a bit out of order imho.

This really, we are more vociferous these days (understandably) but a step too far methinks. As much as Hodgson isn't the right man our opinion has to e measured.

your post, whilst being humanitarian is total bollacks. At the end of the day we are Lfc supporters. we are used to fighting for top spot. we are used to taking on your Real Madrids, your Juves and Your AC's.
Roy Hodgson is not only taking that away from us, like the two yanks it might even make YOU forget who we are.

I was in the same seat jonty row 4, heard a few funny poulsen gesture's, no need for death threats way over top but on the other hand I didn't hear any and I went to both wigan and stoke game, probs the reason the coach to the train station was police escorted, I hope this loss is a reality check for the players and/or woy a P45 in the post. Theres always namecalling in singing in football its part of the banter watching the game, I don't like booing are own team though thats something for chelski fans.

Shocking to hear that some fans have become the monster that infects so many football "fans" these days, what defines a fan of such behaviour from a thug? there seems to be a fine line in modern football, take the Napoli fans for instance and the way they assaulted Liverpool fans for no reason, the genuine fans who booked time off work during a recession to watch there beloved reds in another country, some maybe took their loved ones too and all they get in return is to be stabbed by the opposing teams "fans" well they can F**k right off cos that's just not right and the charges should be srious enough to serve as a warning to others.

As for the fans the OP has described, well I can only hope it's just an act of stupidity and that on reflection they see how wrong that is, after all football is not as important as the safety of it's participants AND it's fans.

Listen pal, i've already said i dont think he should be in the job, but for lads to be clambering over each other to make cut throat signs at him isn't on in my opinion.

And dont worry, i know who we are. We're used to takin on the Real Madrid's, Juves and AC Milans?? Well why the F**k aren't we taking them on this year then? Cos we finished 7th LAST year.

Yeah that wasn't Rafa's fault, it was the yanks, we all accept that.  But you know what, up until the 15 October this year the same 2 cu*ts were still in control.

So don't think i don't know who we are, read some of my posts before talking complete bollocks.

To be honest I think the death threat stuff has been overplayed slightly, was talking to a lad just before watching the boxing who went today and he was in that corner and said he didn't see any death threat bullshit, most were telling roy to F**k off and singing Dalglish's name and got a bit more angrier when Carragher came over telling the fans to F**k off and calling two fans by the tunnel "F***ing pricks".

Well Carras rep aint the best at the moment so if this is true he would want to play it very carefully with the fans because I think alot of us have had enough of his sh*t and thinking that he is "untouchable" as regards critisism from us.

Just really pissed me off mate, not seen our fans like that ever before

      Meh. ...

I'm obviously in a minority here but I find it neither, "unbelievable" or upsetting, (in any way), that some of our travelling Reds felt frustrated enough to - shout, gesture and (Lord forbid) swear at a few multi-millionaires whom they feel cheated by. In fact, if I could give less of a F**k, I would. Good on 'em.

You state that you've "not seen our fans like that ever before" - ask yourself why jonty. What, on earth, could be behind such actions? Actions that I won't condemn.

Just a final thought: the chances are those who were 'targeted' by "those people" will, by the time their Bentleys have pulled into the driveway of their mansions, have forgotten about it. Sadly, loyalty seems to be a one way street, when it comes to modern footballers and managers.

Maybe an apology from Hodgson, a statement of understanding and improved performances will stop it happening in future, eh?

I was at Wigan in the week, personally I dont like booing the team off the field. My own protest in the week was to make for the exit on the final whistle without clapping the team off, which in 20 years of following the reds home and away I could count on one hand how often that has happened.

If these reports are true its a sad state, yes we are all hurting at the performances and results but there is a line.
