Liverpool have emerged as the latest club reportedly interested in AC Milan attacker Ronaldinho.
Since joining the Serie A giants in summer 2008, the Brazilian playmaker has seen his stock diminish under Massimiliano Allegri and could be Anfield bound next summer when his current contract expires at the end of June.
Negotiations for the 30-year-old could start as early as January and Roy Hodgson is believed to be monitoring his situation with a view to partnering him with current Reds striker Fernando Torres, who has struggled to lead the line at times owing to the lack of support alongside him.
LA Galaxy remain the favourites to capture his signature with former Rossoneri team mate and England captain David Beckham eager to lure the former World Cup winner, who has an extensive list of personal accolades, to Los Angeles.
Another stumbling block to Hodgson's plans would be Ronaldinho's annual wage demands of €7.5million (£6.3M), which go against the ethic of the club's new owners, although he is expected to take a pay cut if he is able to secure a move to a club in his homeland, with several clubs also interested.
