Our revised expectations

Now that Roy has gone and taken his depressing brand of football with him, what can we expect from a team that is not too dissimilar from the 08/09 squad?

It will take time to rebuild, let's not get too carried away and expect miracles like 4th this year.

My expectations:
League, 6th - given that we are so far behind and with 10 away games to go. We will be close to 4th/5th as I can see Spurs and Chelsea dropping points, but not enough to let us slip by.
Next year? Top 4 under Kenny or Rafa or a new manager.

Europa -
Looking at the teams left, Juve and Atletico are out, there is absolutely no-one there to be scared of, we could win it.  City and maybe Benfica and Porto are the only difficult teams. 

FA Cup -
If we win tomorrow, we could have a good run and who knows?

Just expect Kenny to push some of the younger players and play more attractive football. Good results to come from there !

It's been a long time since we've been happy. With H & G gone and Roy too, it certainly is a fresh start. We have something to smile about so let's enjoy it.

Solid at the back. Pass and move attacking football. No more hoofball tactics then maybe we will finish the league in a more respectable position ready to kick off for next season.

I expect us to get behind the manager and his team I expect Anfield to come alive again the rest will take care of itself.

If we start winning it will be Roy's team not Rafa's but you know what F**k them write what they want say what they want because we are all together again and nobody will ever split us up again.

It may well have 35 years of experience behind it but with Kenny it will be 35 years of WINNING experience.

Spot on lads. That's how I feel too.

I expect Liverpool to play attractive football and try to win every match.

I'm not expecting Kenny to start winning every match since the beginning or end in top 4, anyway. Pressure on players will be very high with Kenny in charge and it may take a moment for them to be back to their best.

Pretty much echoes my sentiments. If anyone is going to implement 'The Liverpool Way' then it is going to be Kenny Dalglish. These are exciting times ahead. We may not get fourth place, i'm not expecting it really. One thing i will say, a defeat is always easier to stomach if we're playing attacking football and playing as a single entity.

Now that Woy has gone and Kenny has returned, the only expectations I have is the players to start believing in themselves and start proving that they deserve to wear the shirt! 

Kenny will want to win everygame I am sure of that al we can do is give them our full support as we have done in the past.We should erease 2007/2010 from our history books its been turmoil and negativity. I hope Anfield gets back its voice.
