Looks better in Yellow you can make out all the writing.

How big should we make it ? How much would it cost !!

It's putting money towards the cost of the banner. We already donate, which is how the forum survives whether you like it or not. This is unlikey to be a revenue source, but if JD got and extra 50 quid in the process and that money goes towards things like updating servers then it can only be a positive

Liking the Shankly idea! Running through walls quote would be good and the 5 stars between Shankly's hands look brill.

Liking the simpler ideas best.  Too much writing on the first one RB.

I think having a banner and showing it at games is a big mistake
 One of the reasons I like this forum so much is because it is open to all, you can support any team  and still join LFCreds, if we have a banner I believe it would make people who support other teams less likely to joining the site, we could lose not having people who support other teams bringing different views from Liverpool supporters.
 If we do have a banner IMO the next logical step would be to start sell advertising space on the site.
 I value and respect the work the staff do and believe we need to make sure they stay independent but also need to show a certain amount off independence to anyone looking in who are not Liverpool FC supporters.

So let me just make sure i get this - no offense - but absurd statement. Basically you think we should not make a LIVERPOOL themed banner because we may offend non LIVERPOOL fans when we display it at LIVERPOOL games, but think that otherwise they would like to join up to a LIVERPOOL forum.

And then i just noticed your whole 'point' about the risk of becoming a commercial venture. An independent website that has a banner made up from members donations is not commercial at all, is it? It's a punch in the face for commercialism actually, it shows those who are passionate enough can make things work without having to sell advertising.

how about for every £1 to the banner, how about you also donate £1 to the forum?

I like this site for its Independence, you can say what you like within reason, I think that the site should leave these sort of things to individuals or individual groups, I do not think the staff should take any risks which could lead the site into becoming a commercial venture, while a banner is unlikely in is self to lead to the site becoming commercialised, it is a step in that direction.
        

What the F**k you on about. Some of the lads on here want to create their own banner to take the game.

F**k all wrong with that - although imo I'd lose LFCREDS stick to Liverpool FC, YNWA, include five stars and maybe even an image.

Don't include usernames either or else it'll look like a mongy Rawk effort that'll get laughed at just like that Cilla/Ronaldinho banner that got laughed at by a lot of lads who go the game.
