When we went 1-0 up there was a LIVERPOOL chant that rang around for 15seconds.

      I couldn't even hear "Dalglish!". :(

I had a heart attack twice through out the game. Meireles and Reina saved me there.

      Anyways, we won :)

Hopefully we can continue this next week. We have the weekend off to rest.

Actually, are Stoke still in the cup?

One thing I noticed. Crowd seemed quite enough first half until the 4th official indicated a minute added time cheer went up. If anyone was at the ground Id like your opinion on the atmosphere as it seemed poor enough on tv

Yeah, atmosphere seemed very poor on TV

Maybe its just when Ive been to games, but I can't remmember a "decent atmosphere" in a midweek game since the champions league matches. Not sure if its because its midway through the week or what but It just never seems as hyped for me.

Poulsen did fine tonight. There were a couple opposition attacks that he broke up with smart fouls. He did give away a couple cheapies, but nothing compared to Skrtel. When will he learn to not run through a player on a ball in the air? Frustrates me beyond reason.

Kept up with the game via bbc/this site via my phone as I travelled home.  Got a text off a mate with 5 minutes to go. Just said 'Missed Lucas'.

We were never going to put on the same display as we did against Wolves. But I think a few weeks ago, we would have come unstuck under an organised Fulham. We just about held it together there in the last 20 mins tonight.

First 15 minutes were ace. Thought we were gonna smash them 5-0!

It's a funny old game. I'll take those points with open arms!

Lucas energy levels and the way he keeps the ball allows other players more freedom to play.

I guess KK gave Lucas the night off. We missed him.

The problem with today's game was purely that of underestimating the fight Fulham had in them. Poulsen was okay.

The cancellation ofbthebfirst goal didn't help too. Pepe really foiled Fulham's plans. Some very neat runs were called as offside too.

Did that linesman know much about the offside rule?

      Back from the game.

Excellent opening 15 minutes.  Poor (nervous?) final 15 minutes. And we shaded the middle 60 minutes.

Should have won by more, but deserved the 3 points and up to 7th.

Wasnt great. Away fans were sh*t as well which doesnt help.

Too many people go to Anfield to experience an atmosphere and not help create it.  But thats a different topic.

I really think after tonights performance we should drop Kuyt.

Play Aurelio left back and finally give Johnson a go right wing.

Kuyt offered us absolutely nothing tonight. Maxi didn't do much either though!

      Kuyt's grim.

Gerrard should be on the right wing.

Nice to see that grit in the performance. Back to back wins and some momentum at last.

Hopefully a couple of signings and we can really push on and climb the table some more.

Johnson.. Gerrard won't stay there. He'll keep coming inside and offering no width.

      Too stubborn.

And Kenny definitely wont put him there. Johnson could become class there I think.

Missed some of the match as I was doing a radio show tonight, but had the stream up.

I thought we were a little unlucky not to win by more - sure, they pressed us hard in the last 15 mins, but if we had got the legitimate goal, we would have been a lot more comfortable.

Raul continues to impress - but wtf was the ref on? some of those challenges were well out of order.

Poulsen did OK, but we missed Lucas.

      Defense did OK.

All round, not a bad team performance, and loved the hassling and harrying that we did.

A scrappy win, but it'll do.
