Lucas had a pass completion rate of 89% tonight similar to stats you'd usually see associated with Xavi

I remember Lucas played against Stoke in that poor 0-0 draw 2 years ago and he was abysmal. Tonight - class. Fantastic.

Lucas was great tonight and as people on here know I'm far from his biggest fan but that 89% pass completion rate is remarkable

Cut the lad some slack, his distribution tonight has showed how well his improved since the start of his Liverpool career, yes he played a couple of misplaced passes and may of played a short pass here and there, but so what he keeps his head up and NOW always looks for the creative, attacking pass.

I'm not giving him any slack. I think he's a very good player. I don't just compare him to Xavi.

I can't believe how good Lucas is playing this season.

Never thought he had it in him tbh.

One negative is Aurelio who I thought had been sent off early because he seemed to add or do nothing. What position was he ? CM?

Aurelio playing alongside lucas. Not he's usual position and I thought Kenny trying to made him the new Alonso.
Rafa said before he's the best passer in the team. so why not. Just need to be better off the ball, be more available in midfield for others to pass to, and thats what he lacks today. But he doesnt play midfield.

Xavi plays killer balls, eye of a needle balls. Lucas plays 2 yard square passes. Look at the assists each one gets and then you will see the difference.

      Absolute F***ing bollocks.

The way he spread the play tonight at times was almost Xabi-esque.

Take a look at his chalkboards tomorrow and you will see.

He was responsible for the way we circulated the ball tonight, and kept it, and moved as a unit.

      And you know what?
He's been doing it for quite a while, if only some would open their eyes.

Still comparing the player. Comparing one players stats to another is like comparing one player to another, anyway does it matter? He had a great game and we came out worthy winners

Torres didn't score on his debut.  He scored on his home debut.  Suarez is already better than him. ;)

Had to work so missed the game. Getting ready for the highlights but by all accounts a good result and great to get anothet clean sheet.

Remarkable that such a defensively minded coach like Hodgson couldn't manage this yet Kenny by playing positive football has us taking the game to the opposition and we are seeing the benefit.

I'm f***in lovin this, Kenny has got us playing the way we have missed for months, from Pepe to Kuyt everyone to a man is playing much much better, even Skirtle had a decent game tonight, Agger getting back to his best, Lucas developing into the player we all want to see, Glen adapting to life on the left, young Kelly again showing he can compete at the highest level, Meireles the one good thing from Roy's tenure was excellent up front in support and again found the onion bag, Kuyt to was superb, he looks a different player up front and was a constant menace, Gerrard played well in a role we will see him in more often now, Aurelio played ok and provided  balance and support, Suarez, well how good does this lad look? to score on his debut is special, to do it with the pressure he was under and having not played for weeks is another thing, his vision and skill were plain to see, and with the big man yet to come in its looking very very good, a exciting future ahead me thinks, well in lads.
