He has a great left foot and can cross a mean ball in but his lack of pace really worries me.

Baines had a huge headstart though, he just looked like he was running in quick sand.

And yes, he supported us as a lad, but being a local lad, I'm guessing he knows exactly how serious making that move would be. I think he'd only do it if he was absolutely desperate to play for us. Which now that he's played for that shower of sh*te, I'm guesing he can't be that desperate. Could be wrong though, and I think it would hilarious if it did happen.

It's a shame this comes from a s**te source, because he's a top quality left back that can pace forward and can also defend well. He's by far the best left back in the prem. I would love to have him in the team.

When he left Wigan for Everton, I was worried because I was already a big fan of him, but not really worried as we had Riise back then - a player we shouldn't have let go so easily after only 1 bad season. Right now, though, I'd love these rumours to be true as well.

I'm not that convinced about the lad as well to be honest think there are better left backs out there.

It is. Read it in a fourfourtwo magazine a while ago. He was at our centre of excellence for a while but nothing came of it.

Keep seeing this one come up again, albeit from unreliable sources.

Personally I've seen him get 'Koncheskied' too many time for my liking so I hope it doesn't happen.
