In my heart i believe 4th is still an option for us.

This is the perfect run in for us, our chance to finish surprisingly high given our dilemma only several months ago with City and Spurs having some difficult games.

it"s all hotting up,it could go anyway lets hope chelsea sink the spuds ,it would be a strange twist of faith if nando scores the winner.

Just F***ing imagine what would happen if we finished 4th under kenny with the start of the season we had! chanel all posotive energy towards 4th.

City have also got to play Spurs so its more of a chance now than it was 4 months ago.

With Spurs having to play City, Chelski and us, 5th is ours to lose now I think. Not sure about 4th though.

Spuds have Chelsea tomorrow if Chelsea beat them and we beat Newcastle on Sunday were level on points albeit Spuds have a game in hand but have yet to play us and Man City.

We'd actually be ahead of Tottenham because of our goal difference. Realistic we could be ahead of Spurs by the end of the weekend. Great motivation for the lads this weekend. I expect Chelsea to win easily against Tottenham tbh. Chelsea are the in form team.

Sadly I feel 4th is unlikely. Needed Blackburn to get a result last weekend. Just need to hope City lose most of their remaining games, although thats very unlikely.

I remember Spurs having a ver similar run in last season, and I along win many other people thought they had no chance of getting a few wins against the big teams, and I was wrong, they got a few wins where I thought they'd drop points which got them 4th.

We are 3 points behind Tottenham & 7 points behind Citeh, both of them have a game in hand, so we add another 3 points to them for the game in hand. i.e. we are 6 points behing tottenham & 10 points behind Citeh.

Tottenham need to lose 2 games from their remaining 5 games - Clelsea, Blackpool, Manchester City, Liverpool, Birmingham, which is highly possible starting with this weekend game against Chelsea. Then we'll be on top of them assuming we have a better goal difference.

Citeh need to lose 3 & draw 1 games from their remianing 5 games - West Ham, Everton, Tottenham, Stoke City, Bolton. Very unlikely, unless they have a melt down now.

5th is a possibility & 4th is a bit too far even if you are very optimistic.  

We must do our part by winning our remaining games & hope for the best.  


 

This season as crazy and bizarre and completely awful in the way it started it shaping up to be a really interesting finish. The battle for the top spots and the bottom are so close. I could only imagine the insanity if we somehow came out in 4th on the final day. I will take 5th though for now!

All we can do is win every game until the end of the season, Totteham are continuing their welcomed collapse and I hope man city follow their example, i'll take ending the season in 5th considering the sh*t we were in not too long ago.

Actually it's probably an advantage to City. They play Stoke a few days after and if Stoke are safe, they're let City win because if City finish 4th, Stoke will get European football but if City finish 5th, Stoke don't get European football and 6th will.

So I'm expecting Stoke to bend over for City.

Whilst I admit its unlikely, I'll not give up on it until its mathematically impossible.
