Manchester United are the most hated company in the UK, according to results from a new report.An online survey of more than 1,000 people, conducted by Online Opinions, cited United's success, power and huge worldwide following as reasons for why Sir Alex Ferguson's side topped the list.
The Red Devils secured 26 per cent of the overall vote, no other football team ranked anywhwere near Man United, ahead of second most hated company Ryanair which scored 23 per cent of the vote.
The government-owned Royal Bank of Scotland, a company whose bad debts played a role in landing Britain into recession, only registered 16 per cent of the vote - 10 per cent less hate garnered compared to United's score of 26 per cent.
United are the most successful football team in the Premier League era.
