Question is!!How is John Flannagan going to get to sleep tonight?;D

      He won't  ;D

Went Dirk in the MOTM poll. Thought he was outstanding.

Me too Crouchy..he was awesome tonight , as were the whole team to be honest.

Interesting stats their Redblood, just shows you that money doesn't make a successful team, if that team doesn't  play together, too many individual players in the city team

and over half our of figure were Carroll + Suarez.

As I said in the pre-match thread, it's amazing what team work can accomplish over individual players.

Intresting little stat, the 14 players used by Man City tonight cost a combined £253.5m

      Joe Hart £1.5m
      Kolarov - £16m
      Lescott - £24m
      Milner - £24m
      Barry - £12m
      Tevez - £47m
      Toure - £24m
      Dzeko - £27m
      Balotelli - £24m
      De Jong - £18m
      Silva - £24m
      Johnson £6m
      Kompany £6m
      Boyata - £0

Compared to our combined total of £93.5m

      Reina £6m
      Flanagan £0
      Carra £0
      Skrtel £6.5m
      Aurelio £0
      Meireles £11.5m
      Spearing £0
      Lucas £5m
      Kuyt £9m
      Suarez £23m
      Carroll £35m
      Ngog £1.5m

Kompany was quite the steal at that price. Only player who was worth a damn for them tonight.

All in all a very good performance and completely F***ing City over. Spend all the money in the world but you can't buy a pass and move machine like Liverpool Football Club. We F***ing twatted them and it was a joy to see.

F***ing right it was, still buzzing now after getting in.

Going to throw some Depeche Mode on  ;D

      I just can't get enough!!

With all that money they're still a one man team. As soon as they lose Tevez they go to pieces though we were F***ing them over even when the Argie c**t with the sewn on back to front head was on the pitch.

F***ing right it was, still buzzing now after getting in.

F***ing chaos getting to ours. Had to walk it, still didn't see a 26 go past me either. Was made up being back at Anfield when we were free flowing though.

I wanted to get my opinion on the match up before reading what must be a buzzing match thread, and for me one word sums up the performance today: Brilliant!
From start to finish, from whichever side of the park, there was quality all over the place. So much so that we managed to make the million dollar men look like very highly overpaid ball-boys!
It was breathtaking. Touches from players you didn't know had it in them, flicks and tricks from the usual suspects (chiefly Suarez, then his new foil Monsieur Kuyt), and finally having waited for a goal from the young Carroll, along come two to remind the world why we paid a bloated £35 million for the lad.
So impressive were my team (yep, I claim and annex them solely for self tonight. Who wouldn't after a stellar performance like that?), a couple of people including the local broadcasters post match commentator said it was like watching Arsenal in disguise- so accurate and eye-candy pleasing were the through balls, short and long passes.
I disagree. Tonight even a pass it to death Arsenal would have come off second best in view of this performance!
I'm gushing, I know, but the boys deserve it. And what an awesome feel good game it was too. I'm not simply referring to the three points, the three very well taken goals or the clean sheet.
I am however referring to Kuyt who was again immense (anyone who slags that man off saying he is too slow this, or is not 'Pool quality they should pretty please keep a taped copy of this match in storage for future reference.) I speak of the Suarez, Carroll and yes Kuyt tri-factor that has the makings of a team starting to gel and players who know what the other is going to do even before the ball has reached them. I speak of a team that can show character after such a humbling performance with the last match in recent memory, and rise to the occasion and switch gears so effortlessly.
And is it me or have we found another star in the making in the teenager Flanagan who wowed me no end- stunning début performance!
Oh, and the icing on the cake? Aurelio proved he actually can play for 90 minutes without limping off hurt, honest!
Oh, Mr. Dalglish you are quite some manager- attacking flair, team cohesion, lots to keep even the very knowledgeable of the Anfield faithful happy. You better tell them to add a zero to that rumoured contract you are currently negotiating with the bosses, because you are worth every penny and then some!
Really mediocre and frustrating season, but what a magnificent ending to it we have in prospect.
      Well done everyone! ;D

Nah got the bus up to the ground, but walked it back. F***ing weird feeling walking down Holt Rd in your colours even with the Holt alehouse on the corner.

Done the walk hundreds of times in me civvys like but seemed weird in me Liverpool top and scarf. Probably just the unusual feeling of witnessing Liverpool pass and move first hand

I honestly thought it was around £30/35 million. Wiki claims it was 47 but that was refuted by Man City and MSI, so who F***ing knows.

had to laugh tonight walking down to get the bus, the bookies by ours were claiming throw a tenner on us for a 3-0 win and you'd get around £250 back, I laughed walking past, cos I just thought "yeah like we'll score three goals tonight"

Wish I had a F***ing tenner on me then!

Was on the phone to me mate about half 5 outside our work place and he asked me how do you reckon we'll get on tonight, I just said 3-0 we'll F***ing tw*t them lad. Wish I'd slapped a bet on it now.

I didn't believe it though, was just me being my very over optimistic type ahead of the game as well.

One thing I didn't mention earlier is how good the minutes silence was by every one in the ground. Could of heard a pin drop where we were. So a big thank you to the City fans for showing such respect during that minute, and obviously our own fans for upholding it as usual.

Same as! was just saying to one of the lads before we left the house that I thought it would be 3-0 home win.

Another good performance against a relatively competitive opposition.

Shame we couldn't play like that against the 'lesser' sides.

Anyways, just out of interest, Kenny has so far managed us for 12 games in his 2nd stint and in 11 of those games, we scored the first goal.

F***ing brilliant. Absolutely fantastic stuff. Exactly why we needed a two-man strike force, two different strikers who do different things, but together they make havoc in the opposition end. Carroll's strike for the first was an absolute bullet!

All round fantasticness. F***ing loved it, well in lads! Made my lunch time fantastic, downed four quick pints at the bar between classes watching it, was well worth it! ;D
