      West Ham -

Parker - Brilliant player, great passer, tough tackler and has great leadership skills. He is 31 which is simply to old so no chance IMO.

He is actually only 30.  Will turn 31 around the beginning of next season.  He is actually a few months younger than Stevie G ;)  I think that Scottie Parker has a few more years left in the tank, and would be a fantastic signing for around 5mil.  However, I think it all depends on whether or not we bring Aquilani back, and whether we go for Charlie Adam/Matuidi.  My first choice would be Aqua, then Matuidi, then Parker, then Adam.

The great thing about Parker is that he would come cheap, be a great option for 2-3 years, and would fill the gap until players like Coady and Suso can make the step up.

The teams who I think could go down are:

Blackpool, West Ham, Wigan, Wolves, Birmingham, Blackburn.
Players I would look at from each:

      Birmingham- Nobody would improve us
      Blackburn- Nobody worth buying
Blackpool- Charlie Adam probably worth a gamble
West Ham- Parker and Demba Ba
      Wigan- McCarthy, N'Zogbia and Rodallega...
      Woves- Jarvis and Doyle

For Blackburn I'd take Olsson or Phil Jones

Agrtee about P Jones from blackburn...looked great the other night...and what he may lack in technique @ this age he more than makes up in attitude and commitment.
Kjaer from wolsburg is also a good shout but has looked a tad suspect at times. Maybe in a good team he'll come good.
On a side note, I actually don't think their are many really good left backs out there who would be willing or available to move clubs this summer...I think any of them would be a punt and an over priced one at that.

I would get Salgado on a 1 or 2 year deal as back up - still a good player and has enough pace still to compete.

hi, am a virgin on this forum so please be nice  xxxxx:action-smiley-065:

its a interesting topic. i would go for :

charles  n'zogbia -  his a fantastic little player. up there with the best wingers in the PL. i know his got a reputation for being a bit of a trouble maker but i havent heard anything for a while now so maybe his matured. he can also play LB so that is a bonus. i would make a bid for him regardless of whether wigan go down or not.

schott parker - if we can get him for a reasonable price.  his had a great season and i think his got a few seasons left in him. i think suso and conner cody will be ready in a few years so parker would make a good stop gape.

matt jarvis - if we can get rid of joe cole i would bring in jarvis as a squad player. his got good crossing abilities which is a good thing when you have caroll on your side.

phil jones - looks like  a good defender plus his very young so should improve. i would loan him out to a PL team and then bring him back the following season and maybe team him up with argger. ( it depends on the price, wouldnt want to pay too much)

If Wolfsburg go down i wouldn't want Kjaer. He's worse than Skrtel in ball watching.

Patrick Helmes and Diego, though. Wouldn't mind as players to push for the first team. Helmes is beastly.

Tottally forgot Helmes, yeah, good player, would be a brilliant squad option, although his injuries are a bit worrying.

Yup, he has improved quite a lot over the past 4 seasons at Sampdoria ... By the way, he has just turned 25 and is free on Bosman in the summer ...

id take it you watch a little Serie A...what are your thoughts on his teammate Andrea Poli, ive tried to get others ppls opinion on him, but hes still a little unknown I guess....anyways looks a solid player imo, been capped @ senior level by Italy, only 21 and could come @ a discount with Sampdoria potentially facing relegation, he was also quoted saying how much of a fan he was of Gerrard and how he would like to mold his game after him or something along those lines, imo from the few times Ive seen him hes better off playing deeper than advanced..

Now, that is an interesting suggestion ... Personally, I don't think that he is ready for the Premier League yet, but he could be a shrewd buy, especially if Sampdoria go down ...

If has was a few years younger I'd be certain that he would have been the replacement for Mascherano. He's a top class player, one of my favourites in the Premier League.

Would be made up for him to get a chance at another big club but bar Spurs I can't see him move anywhere.

What is it with this lad? Everytime I see him for Germany he looks a world beater and the type who would suit our league........... but at club level, what he struggles??

Why would he want to stay at West Ham if they're playing in the championship? If he's good enough for england, he's good enough for any team in the league
