He joins Liverpool's first-team squad alongside fellow summer arrivals Andrea Dossena, Diego Cavalieri and Philipp Degen.

      Coyle captures N'Gog

      Bolton Wanderers, 11:13, August 31, 2011

Bolton boss Owen Coyle has strengthened his attack with the £4million capture of striker David N'Gog from Liverpool.

Bolton boss Owen Coyle has been desperately seeking reinforcements in attack throughout the summer after losing Johan Elmander and loan star Daniel Sturridge at the end of last season.
Coyle has been tracking N'Gog for some time and it would seem as if he has got his man, with unconfirmed reports suggesting the deal has been agreed.
Stoke and Blackburn had also been linked with N'Gog but the Frenchman has decided to opt for the Reebok where he will compete with the likes of Kevin Davies, Ivan Klasnic and Tuncay Sanli for a place in the starting 11.
Meanwhile, it has been suggested the Bolton have rejected a cash-plus-player offer from Spurs for Gary Cahill, but the London outfit could return with an improved offer before the transfer window slams shut.

      Bolton have Ngog bid accepted
French striker poised for switch to Reebok Stadium

      By James Riach
      Last Updated: August 31, 2011 11:43am

Sky Sports sources understand Bolton have had a bid accepted for Liverpool striker David Ngog.

The Trotters have long been linked with a move for the 22-year-old Frenchman and are looking to push through a deal before the passing of Wednesday's transfer deadline.

Ngog moved to Anfield in 2008 when former Reds manager Rafa Benitez brought him to the club from Paris St Germain.

He made 38 appearances for Liverpool last season but Kenny Dalglish sees him as surplus to requirements following a busy summer of recruitment.

Just saw on SSN, him leaving Melwood. Got in to a car with his agent, carrying a big black bin bag. Looks like he is off.

Just been looking on the web for how much Ngog signed for and I came across this article:

Rafa Benitez has signed French striker David Ngog from Paris St Germain.

The 19-year-old joins Liverpool on a four-year deal after being repeatedly linked to the Merseyside club.

He joins Liverpool's first-team squad alongside fellow summer arrivals Andrea Dossena, Diego Cavalieri and Philipp Degen.

Ngog is the cousin of former Rangers and Newcastle defender Jean-Alain Boumsong, and is hoping for more success in the Premier League than he had last season in the French Ligue 1 where he scored just once in 18 appearances.

The bit in bold made me realise how far we have actually come.

From signing that sh*te to spending 100 million plus on pure quality. I think a lot of us forget how much we have improved ...

And how grateful I am that we have brilliant owners now.

P.S: Still haven't found out how much Ngog was :P

Spot on mate. We signed Keane that Summer too.

As much as Ngog really never cemented a spot within the squad it is a good piece of business buying him for 1m and selling off for 4m. We never seem to make these deals in terms of younger players who simply get released

Hope he's gone good luck to him.
We do need a replacement let's hope Kenny's got it covered.
Looking like it could be a total shock as Bellamy,Zarate & Elia are
      going elsewhere!

      4m is good enough.

So another Rafa 'flop' that we've made money on.

In this case we need to get a back up striker in, quick. If I'm honest and serious, Jelavic from Rangers wouldn't be a bad shout.

2020: DONE DEAL (courtesy of BBC radio 5 live senior football reporter Ian Dennis)
Bolton have completed the signing of Liverpool's French striker David Ngog. There was talk of a £4m fee for the 22-year-old earlier today but I will firm that up for you when I can.
