VOTE: Would you take 4th right now? (June 2011)

Simple question that requires a simple yes or no answer.

If you were offered 4th right now, before a ball has been kicked, before the transfer window is over, would you take it?

If one of the staff could add a poll, and maybe stop posting in the thread as it's not a discussion but rather a simple yes/no answer.

Yes all day everyday. Top 4 is absolutely vital for us to progress into challenging for the title.

Not so sure but I'd say Yes.

Before the season has started? No chance.

Simply because we still have the opportunity to win the title, and I will maintain that mindset until it is mathematically impossible.

No, because i believe that we can win the title. Its hard but we can do it.

As of right now yes defo take it because we dont seem to have the financial muscle to get top level players. So far we appear to be following arsenals policy of buy young and cheap and sell for what you can get. I dont think we currently have the scouting network to achieve this like arsenal have and even then they havent won anything for as long us with this policy.

Not too sure. 4th would be fine, and a good improvement on the last 2 seasons.

But we should be pushing for a much higher place, especially as we do not have the "distraction" of European Football this season.

Kick me in the balls but I voted yes.  Although I would much prefer 3rd to avoid the early start.

I don't think any team has ever gone from 6th to 1st in the modern age.  4th would be a real step back in the right direction - but admittedly not where our medium term ambitions are.

Thats extremely debatable... We'll see at the end of August whos got the deeper squad.

Anyway... I suppose no. The post about Wigan swayed me. We're not Wigan.

No I want Liverpool to win the league, but on the back of the last two seasons  I'd reluctantly accept 4th over 38 games on the back of the past two seasons.
