Obviously don't for a minute believe they'll be winning the league any time soon (tbh though who would if you continue to sell your best players and turn a profit each season?), but they'll always challenge for fourth and be in with a shout of winning the cups under Wenger.
In many ways I think the risk of moving him on is/was bigger, unless they have a Simeone or other world class manager ready to take over. Even then it's always going to be a massive ask if you simply don't spend the money.
