So hypothetically while logging on to this very site could the pop up appear?

Hypothetically, yes. If it ran a Javascript client.

      Which it doesn't.

Go look up the term "java drive-by". Perfect example.

I think the best thing for all concerned is to just move on. RLB knows he's innocent, the mods want to believe he's innocent and no one wants to see a good poster banned. If the mods find evidence it was someone F***ing with him, then they will presumably ban whoever it is anyway.

Interesting stuff, see this is a reason why i hate my school, i wanted to do computers when i was younger, learn about all the programing, malware, software, virus side of things, but all you learn in my school is how to design a F***ing website.

No, like I said, it could be implemented by Javascript.

When you go onto a website with a Javascript client, it asks if you will allow it permission to cache information.

If you answer yes, it stores the information on the computer. The information can even be an *.exe file, which would be used as the remote admin tool.

But that would surely be a little too much of a coincidence mate? Going on a site and accepting a RAT that someone then uses to access this site, writing in the style of Mac red  :)

      :lmao:

I had to create a website too. I think it involved creating a website involving roller coasters or theme park, that was years ago mind.

Maybe me and you should team up to create a Liverpool forum that's better then the best on the net, LFCreds

Can't remember mate, it was something like that or very similar so I'll assume it was that.

JD - how long did it take for you to design this site? Just interest to know the timescales involved in creating a site like this.

Right just done a bit of googling regarding rat removal, its advised spyware doctor, so i've downloaded it and all its updates and its upgrade, i'll set it away now and take some screen grabs of what or if it throws anything up as i'd F**k my lappy up trying to remove it manually if I had one.

I see, if that's just 30% i can see it getting a lot worse, you should download "Spybot-Search and Destroy" it is a very good anti spyware software, i would scan your computer every 2 weeks, just till the amount of infections and threats die down.

Then just get your laptop into the routine of regular scans and you should be fine.

It wasn't that I suggest you ask JD.

They logged in via a proxy server based in Iran every log in, barring one conveniently enough, teh one they did log in without a proxy server showed my IP, although when JD showed me the screen shot It did not fully match my IP, but he explained it at the time, can't remember what he said to be honest.

How was the weather in Iran mate, you did say u went on holidays.  :D

Only joking mate I know you weren't devil hunter, you are the only one on the forum who spells the as teh;)

sh*te course it was. Just used to play Soccer Slime and Roby Baggio's Magical kicks all day ;)

Right I got up this morning and teh laptop was off so I don't know if it completed the scan and shut down or if it got too hot and shut itself down.

Heres some screen grabs of what it turned up and I'm going to re-run spyware doctor now and see what happens.

      Obviously didn't have a Dictionary either.  :P

On topic: Even though I'm intrigued I have to say I agree with this:

Tracking cookies are normal, but they should be gotten rid of ASAP.

mal.java doesn't sound like a driveby to me, as it's usually a .exe file that does it.
