Cracking win by the Irish and really opens the tournament up for the Northern Hem sides as one of them should make the final now.

Really good competition so far and the smaller nations are playing some very nice rugby and closing the gap it seems.

Laughed at James Haskell saying players who are playing badly showed be outed by name, hopefully he''ll be one of the first in line.

It is amazing the way the smaller Rugby nations have improved over the last 4 years,it makes for better rugby when it is not totally one sided.

Wouldn't bet against France winning this tournament or at least getting to the final ! if the' right ' side turn up ,they are a bit fickle aren't they ? but when their back line runs it flies !

F***ing idiot. How is it i, as a fan who hasn't even been able to watch Australia for a long time being in America, still knew we were in for a challenge and he thought we would roll over them?

I am a cocky fan at times with mates, but if i was a broadcaster like that - i'd be very careful.

It's alright. I imagine our commentators will say stupid stuff like that prior to the Italy game.
So long as the players don't take it for granted I'll be happy.
Will be a hard game. Just because we beat Australia, doesn't mean we will automatically top this group.
Two games to go and two big performances required to make the Australia result count.

      Wow... fantastic! Argentina 13-12 Scotland

I dislike Argentina in just every sport, rugby is the only exception. The Pumas are such fighters, the try that gave them the win was absolutely brilliant

Great game for ROG and Ireland. Sexton had a shocker of a miss, which brought a smug grin from ROG. Two good 10's, but ROG should start. We need to beat Italy. This will be a hard game against Italy. Sexton's poor percentages can't be risked in such a tight game. We need a win to ensure qualification.

Big game England V Scotland at the weekend now.

We should win (England) but I am nervous for this one.

Loser goes home so big pressure on both teams.

Canada and Japan just drew 23 points each.Italy versus U.S.A.  kicks off in about 15 minutes, could be a close game but Italy should win it.

ROG after Jonathan Sexton conversion miss
Ireland need to win against Italy to ensure progression.
Well draw will do, but that's not the mentality we need.
Lose and we are out. Win and we top the group.
Win, top the group, carry the momentum.

ROG and Trimble must surely start.

I'm going to be one of those, who only watches the rugby when it's World cup time or six nations, however I do actually enjoying watching it!

If Ireland can top their group then the northern hemisphere teams have a great chance of making the final, obviously I hope England do, and then go tossing some dwarfs to make a point :p

Has any team ever made 3 consecutive finals before?

Watched Australia earlier on steam-roller Russia, fell asleep during the French game and didn't see the England/Scotland tie.

Breaking News- Dan Carter will not take any further part in the Rugby World Cup for New Zealand,he has been ruled out with a groin strain which he picked up in training yesterday. The All Blacks will certainly miss him.
We all know what happened to Stevie Gerrard last season with the same problem.
