For me Iniesta and Xavi offer more, look how Messi plays for Argentina. A big reason for his incredible Barca form is because of those two.

I haven't done it yet, but Ronaldo probably wouldn't be my number 2. Goes missing in big matches too often, at least when he was a manc, probably number 3 for me. Number 2 would be Lucas

Definitely.  I never once saw him have a good game, I watched Utd v. the big teams and he never turned up.  He was a demon against the newly promoted sides though.  Still, you can't argue with his goal return at Real, even if it is La Liga, 69 goals in 64 games...

Can't argue with that at all, he is a great player. But still nowhere near Messi in my mind. Ronaldo looked average in the CL finals, whereas Messi is almost always right in the thick of it in the big ones. Ronaldo was so average in my eyes i actually didn't care if he was in or out of a game against us when at the mancs, he never made that much of a difference for me.

Don't think Ronaldo actually deserves to be number 2. He rarely turns up for the big games but yet manages to get on the scoresheet.

You always see the build up to el classicos about it Messi vs Ronaldo and it's usually Messi who steals the show. That, is a world class player.

I know he scored 53 goals last season but he's scored plenty of tap ins and penalties. Tap ins considered being the player that just sticks his leg out to put the ball into the net. Whilst Messi has scored goals from a yard or two form the line, it's usually after he's ran with the ball.

I see the point, but at the same time he aint perfect. He scores goals and is damn good, but his fault is going missing when his team needs him most at times. That is an important factor in deciding these kinda things.

I'd be damn close to putting him at number 2, maybe. But he is far from perfect in my eyes, considering he has a few years on Messi.
