I take it people here don't care much for SAF then!
I understand that, but the hatred over something as silly as this is a little OTT to say the least!

His name isn't saf, its c**t.

It goes way beyond this incident which is minor.  In essence, it is about the fact that "SAF" is a total and absolute disgrace who has, for as long as I can remember as a fan of football for over forty years, continuously brought the sport into disrepute.  If we had an FA with some guts and some credibility and some common sense and some consideration for the views of normal people, this thing you call SAF would have been banned from the sport long ago.  He is a nasty, obnoxious, objectionable, arrogant, insufferable individual who is "always right".  I don't care if he has been a successful manager, he will always be remembered by right-thinking, genuine football fans in the terms I have described.  And that, by the way, includes some, at least, genuine Manchester United fans who welcome the end but not the means so far as Ferguson is concerned.

You may note that I have not used one single swear word in this post.  The likes of Ferguson are so contemptible as to be beneath swear words.  The FA is to blame for this continuing saga: they should have thrown him out of football years ago.

      Nice. I'm with him.

Although I'm not as magnanimous, I like to use swear words and he's a Grade A c**t.

Oh right, fair enough. Thanks for your kind words! I must be just because I dont want to inflict pain on a fellow human being just beacuse they are associated with a club I hate.

I dont care for SAF at all but the  thing is I dont have the deep down hate for people for footballing reasons. I like football & I'm a long time massive Liverpool fan sorry I dont share quite the same hostile tendancies as some of you guys. I dont see there is any reason for you to all inflict me with the same gusto. I am not supporting SAF, but I dont go around violently screaming crap over rubbish like this.

      Armchair fan's words.

When you have had mancs over the side of a divide calling you a murderer, screaming about killing your own fans and the hand gestures that follow, then maybe thats why we get a bit hostile about mancs.

But then again, you don't go the game, so it won't arse you will it?

I'm not claiming to be anything. I thought this was a Liverpool fans forum, not a if you don't go to every game & beat Mancs up you are not welcome forum. At a guess I'd say there are plenty of fans posting here that don't go to that many games & I have read that some don't even watch every game thats available.

I go about 5 times a year to Anfield & get to a few away games. Sorry Im not a super supporter like you. Thing is pal the club we both support wouldnt be what it is without fans like both you and me. The people that hurl that abuse are not a reason to hate all Utd supporters. Guess what? I have friends that are Utd fans! Shock horror, that must mean I shouldnt support Liverpool

Who said anything about going the game and beating anyone up?

      Again with your pathetic stereotypes.

Wow you go to five games a year, well done you, I know plenty of reds on here who don't go the game, plus I knew quite a few posters off here that do go the game, difference is we know what this club means to us.

I have had a season ticket since back into the 80s and I've had all the scouse steretype bollocks, but you can just waltz into the game five times a F***ing year and think you know what it means to be a liverpool fan.

Do you F**k. Yes we're political, we've had to been and yes a large majority from this city who support the club happen to have socialist ideals passed down from the days of Shankly - yes the Legend himself was a socialist.

Maybe you should go and get a full education about this club first before spouting off.

The beating people up was of course tongue in cheek & based loosely on the vitriolic remarks. At a guess half those sprouting it wouldn’t say boo to a goose. It wasn’t stereotypical at all.

I wasn’t saying its great or not great to go to 5 games. I was simply saying who many times I watch us play. I don’t claim to know what the club means to everyone. I don’t just waltz in doing anything but support the team mate, blimey you have a real chip don’t you. You think you must be from a certain area & share the political crap to be a supporter don’t you? All I know is that I support it & without the support of millions like me the club wouldn’t be where it is now. I really don’t get why you are so hostile to a fellow fan?

I don’t give a F**k about the socialist politics of some of the clubs supporters & indeed the City of Liverpool. I am however fully aware of the background and history & respect other fans views on it. You seem to imply I am not a real fan as I don’t comply to your view. Shame that, still you wont drive me away.

I didn’t come here to make enemies or annoy people, I came to talk football. Not the merits on who is a better fan!

Maybe that's the F***ing problem. The club IS part of the city, in the same way the majority of this city stood up to Murdoch and his tw*t of a paper for the last 22 years, we're all one.

Its not a problem to me, but obviously it is to you. Sorry if I have offended you in anyway. I just want to support the club my way, the way I have for 30 odd years.

The biggest mistake was Fergie getting his knighthood while still active in football. This gave him a status with officials and the FA that he has used to both influence and bully referees, the media and other managers.
