Let's get back onto winning ways, starting with a hard game at Brighton.

Just a minor blip from us, let's pick ourselves up and have the spirit that we had at the start of the season.

Come on to f*ck you Reds!  ;)

I'm all for playing a strong team but no F***ing way does a single player that started in yesterday's embarassment deserve to play on Wednesday.

Doni; Kelly, Coates, Wilson (maybe Wisdom?), Robinson; Maxi, Gerrard, Spearing, Sterling; Bellamy, Kuyt.

Bet you the likes of Spearing, Bellamy and Kuyt will be fired up looking to get into the team for the Wolves game.

This won't be easy. They will come at us with pace, we need to play a strong team.

With the way Brighton are performing l;ately, they will be up for this and get straight at us after seeing what the spuds done. We will no doubt start very nervously, terrified of going out to a championship side. I think all things considered we will scrape through by the skin of our teeth. It's certainly going to be a lot tougher than a lot of people think, and if we send out too week a team, it could cost us dearly. Just hope Kenny sends out all the big guns for the start, including Stevie to get him some minutes. Only send out the fringe players if we get a good lead. I want to win this one regardless of what cup it is. No mistakes come Wednesday please.

Expect a stong team similar to the one that faced Brighton in the last round.

We must start buliding momentum again after the last two matches so this becomes an important game for me now.

Hopefully we will see Stevie from the bench with all things going well, good preparation for him to maybe start versus Wolves next weekend.

                      Pepe

      Flanno  Carra Coates  Robinson

      Kuyt    Spearing Shelvey  Maxi

                 Carroll   Bellamy

Subs - Suarez, Gerrard, Downing, Lucas

This is the one I like, let's give Luis a break and be able to bring Stevie on for 20 minutes or something. This team is strong enough to get the job done and I think Carroll and Coates need as many minutes as they can get right now.

I like this team, with these subs.

Subs: Doni, Kelly, Wilson, Henderson, Gerrard, Sterling, Suarez

Maybe Wisdom instead of Wilson and maybe Lucas instead of Henderson.

Come on, lads! Smash these lot. It is getting irritating to read the papers. It is as if the Mancs are the best.

        Kelly Carra Coates Robinson

      Kuyt Henderson Spearing Maxi
               Carroll Bellamy

I'd like to see Coates get some games and I think Jamie, whilst ageing will provide the level head and leadership to help him and Robinson etc. throughout the game. Want to see Carroll score. Gerrard off the bench in last 20 for a run around

Craig Bellamy and Sebastian Coates in line for first Liverpool FC starts of the season

      by Philip Kirkbride
      Sep 20 2011

CRAIG BELLAMY and Sebastian Coates are expected to be handed first starts of the season when Liverpool go to Brighton.

Bellamy’s second stint at Anfield has so far been restricted to a pair of cameo appearances whilst Uruguayan centre-half Coates made his club debut as a first half substitute against Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday.

Tomorrow night’s third round Carling Cup tie at the Amex Stadium is also likely to see captain Steven Gerrard make his comeback after six months out and Dirk Kuyt, who sat out the disappointing 4-0 loss at Spurs, earn a recall.

Young full-backs Jon Flanagan and Jack Robinson are also anticipated to earn selection for the match against Gus Poyet’s Championship high-flyers as Kenny Dalglish’s men look for a repeat performance of their second round win over Exeter City last month.

Daniel Agger, however, remains a serious doubt for the trip to the south coast after he lasted just 27 minutes at White Hart Lane having picked up a nasty looking bang to the ribs with the club expecting to learn the full extent of his injury today.

Charlie Adam and Martin Skrtel will miss out tomorrow night (7.45pm) as they serve one-match bans having been sent off in the game against Spurs.

      Good shout that.

However, they are doing amazingly well in the Championship, top of the table until their first loss of the season away to Leicester last weekend.

Hope that team would be strong enough... not sure though.

Well two results went against us,stoke parked the bus and won. similar tactics the used last year.It did expose weaknesses in our side definately. Then no side can win when  you have two players sent off.Now we will see if the reds can dust themselves off and play for 90 minutes as a team and move forward.
Its a golden opportunity as we are playing some weak teams in the premier league in the next three weeks. we get 3 wins we can be right near the top again in the table. pick our strongest team. It wont be easy but brighton just lost one,and there bubble could have burst as well.

Not too fussed on who plays in defence, but I'd be inclined to play

      Kuyt - Spearing - Gerrard - Rodriguez
      Bellamy
      Carroll

      as the 6 midfielders/forwards.
