Great post!!! I hate those white socks. At first I thought you meant because Crouch was on instead of Torres.

Id prefer it if we could just stick to the same basic "All Red" strip
red jersey, shorts, socks...

when I first heard that one of our strips was going to be "Black, red and white" I cringed as they are the colours
that the Manc's have worn for so long... it turned out better than expected, but still a concern

I've hated it over the years when we've played away and have used our home kit with an alteration. It should be all red or an away kit. Not red shirt, red shorts and white socks! Frankly, it just looks stupid. And if it looks stupid, we'll give stupid balls away!

Why we nearly lost against Pompy should be the title

They look effing strange.  We should be wearing our White kit if that is the case - or the black.

Folks, apart from being confused by the title (Lost? Not this season...) methinks you all forgets that when we beat Pompey on the way to the FA Cup last year, we were wearing white socks.
Pompey wear red socks at home, and for some reason we seem to prefer to wear the rest of the home kit.
Conspiracy theory: Perhaps the kit guy forgets that Pompey wears red socks and doesn't pack the away kit and has to nip out to the Fratton shops at the last minute and buy loads of white sports socks???

The reason we wore our white socks with the red kit is because ,Pompeys socks are red and they would have meant  both teams wearing RED socks on the pitch.Redkenny must agree with you we should have played in our all white strip against Pompey

That's a bit of a quantum leap Redkenny! We look stupid so we play badly?  Is this why we had a bad away record last season because of the nauseous yellow away strip?

Remember the Ferguson excuse when he claimed his players could not see the grey strip?  It was boll*cks of course, they were just playing crap and I'm sorry to say we could have played a lot better on Saturday.

I do, however, think that now we have got a decent away strip we should wear it.
