Pre Match: Liverpool FC vs Manchester City FC - Sunday November 27th

Still buzzing about the win over the Chavs, but we need to keep the momentum rolling on to the next one!!   I am personally very interested to see how Dalglish is going to approach these two games and what lineup he will put out for both of them.  I have a feeling we will see strong, balanced teams in both games.  Just for fun, I'm gonna have a guess at what the lineup will be for both games:

Vs City - League Match

I think Kenny will try to get Suarez off early in this game so that he can save some energy for the CC game.  We'll probably see one of Hendo, Maxi, or Bellamy come on for him around the 60 minute mark if things are going well.

A 5-1-3-1 or a 5-4-1 formation.  I think we will look to keep it tight at the back, and will bring Suarez on for the last 20-30 minutes to change the game. 

Going for a 2-1 win over City, and a 1-0 win over the Chavs in the CC!!

We have a quality squad now, so we can compete in both games. The first priority is always the next game. I'd play

Unchanged line up for me, were going to have to work very hard against City to get anything from the game, so for me the hardwork of our front 4 was pivotal in our win yesterday especially in the first half. Our home record has not been the best this season and its time to change that, I'm going for another 2-1 victory to the mighty reds.

I think against Norwich? He only got one yellow card since then.

I honestly feel we need a 3 man  midfield for this game. With Lucas and Spearing as our defensive midfielders, they would offer more cover and stability, also give confidence to our offense to concentrate on attcking.

Not overly confident against city ye it was a great result yesterday but im too used to being dissapointed after a good result. I think a draw. Hopefully anyway there sh*t hot. Really hope im wrong

Who do Chelsea play before they play us in the CC?

Anyway i am pretty confiident about the city game. i hope to see this team.

If we don't play 3 in the middle against City we'll be eaten alive. I am confident though.

Lucas will have to spend most of the match following David Silva. If anyone can do it, our Lucas can. He's the key. They can be had, but a good start is imperative. Their defense is suspect at best, but they hold on to the ball and attack so relentlessly it hasn't been well exposed yet this year.

I agree with this.  Everton matched up well against them when they had Rodwell shadow Silva all game.  City finally broke them down late on with the help of a deflected shot.  Stopping Silva is one of the two keys to killing their creativity.  The other is winning the battle against their wingers.  Enrique, Johnson, and Lucas will all need to have massive games in order to keep them quiet. 

City have been suspect at the back this season, and are susceptible to the counter attack as Richards and Clichy both like to bomb forward on the outside, and Toure gets involved through the middle.  There are times when their two CB's and Barry are the only ones in proper defensive positions, so if we can catch them at the right time on the counter we could be very effective.  I also think Carrol will be good in this match as set plays may be an area that we can nick a goal or two. 

Kenny will have his plan and if we stick to it we can do them especially at home. They need taking down a peg or two and we need a bit more luck at home so positivity is the answer for me and a great win.They will not let Silva play in the huge space others give him.

Yeah, he got his 5th before the Norwich game, which he served the suspension so yesterday's was his 6th but first since his suspension. He needs four to serve another one game ban, no?

spearing should play along with lucas..and adam behind suaraz..with only adam and lucas in the mid, we ll be murdered
