I thought it was a good first half.  The result isn't the desired one just yet, but the performance has been quite solid thus far.  Major positives for me include the Agger/Skrtel partnership and probably Stewart Downing who has had a very productive first half (I'm going to push my agenda and say it's been because he's on the right).

the cross are rare and not good enough or at least not dangerous enough. this is the issue but we just need the first goal  to win this match...

Wouldn't change anything at the moment to be honest. We simply can't hit the back of the net, that's a confidence issue, not a single player issue. The midfield and attack all have goals in their locker, they just need that one slice of luck, personally think it will come in the first 20 mins of the 2nd half.

Agreed he's been decent, I just don't see the difference about him being on the right or on the left if he's going to cross the ball every single time he has it like he's done today

We desperately need an out-and-out goal scorer. Someone who is going to bury these chances, a poacher of the Hernandez ilk. That's what we need!
