I wouldn't go down the route of saying you like Warnock rush with his previous run ins with the club

Sorry for bringing him up but it's just that people see what they want to see, Adam is better than Hendo defensively but one is criticized for any player that gets past him while it was the first time I saw someone complain about this part of Hendo's game. Downing is 27 but "he'll improve", Adam is 25 so "he should be in his prime". Oh well, just the old boring Adam debate. I actually think Adam and Hendo were decent today together given we had no defensive midfielder there.

As for the game today... players like Kuyt and Maxi are two players with exceptional movement and overall game intelligence, but what we're really lacking in attack is some additional quality. That killer touch, sublime finishing, unexpected dribbling. At the moment the only player I come to expect something like that is Suarez, but even him can be very very frustrating at times.

Adam is 26, it's his Birthday today :P.

Nah, just being a dick, I agree with you entirely. Adam has been good for us this season, one of our better players to be honest.

Can't help it*. Something about the guy. I guess we can all be and say stupid things now and then. He defended Suarez mid week too.

*Unless he's said something I'm not aware of.

Finally a home win, Maxi to get a run in the side for sure

Once we get our finishing a bit better this run of games ahead of us should put is in a good spot.

Adam problem remains the same, stamina, saying that he has improved it and has nearly stopped the hollywood passes and doesn't give the ball away as much. He was good for 70 mins today

Warnock and class. Two words I never thought would be used in the same sentence without "has no" in between.

Thought we played well overall and deserved the victory.

I felt we needed someone composed on the ball in the mIddle towards the latter stages and maxi wouldve been perfect there.

Adam and henderson was as I expeected, not the greatest but job done. Too many stray passes and gaps in the middle.

Skrtel was by far the MOTM for me.

Anyhoo Skrtel MOTM for me, just pipping Charlie Adam.

He blocked, headed, tackled everything today, one foul on the tip of our box which was avoidable, but still he has been so solid for us this season, and alongside Agger have developed quite an understanding. Well done Marty.

3 points is a massive relief. Kenny's interview made me feel better says we were very good, we just need to start scoring early....

I agree, he has improved and has cut down on the Hollywood passes, but I notice he tried a fair bit today which were unsuccessful.  He played well enough though
