Your Favourite Players song?

I think we as a club are by far the best when it comes to quality songs so Im wondering what your favourite player songs are?

We have the simple ones like for Sami Hyppia and Fowler, the brilliantly creative Luis Garcia, Djimi Traore, Alonso, Gerrard, Torres, Suraez ones and the plain boring Michael Owen hallelujah one (just my personal opinion of that one).

So many I cant think of them all but what ones mean the most to you?

I think some of the best based on tunes are the "Torres Bounce", "Don't Take My Luis Away", "Lucas Leiva's" and "I just can't get enough (Suarez)".

I also like the "Steven Gerrard is our captain" more than his "Steve Gerrard Gerrard".

They are so damn catchy.

I also like the Andy Carroll one, so it's such a shame that he won't score more often so we can sing it.

Unfortunately the Torres bounce was by far my most liked player song ever :-( I remember watching us beat Arsenal in the Champs League in 2007 and it was sung relentlessely all match.


Always loved the Sami song.

Luis Garcia was one of the best and i love the fact we still get to sing it to the chavs everytime we play them!

Really like Stevie's "Scouser born and bred" song.

also loved the Rafa La Bamba song, who thought that up i don't know but they should have a career in music composition!

Maxi's song is my favourite.

Had my daughter and 3 nieces singing Fields of Anfield Road...Class.

Fitted his personality though.

I enjoyed the  Xabi Alonso one, but i think the Djimi Traore song always wins for me.

I wish LFCTV would have someone in along the Liverpool fans during matched to record these songs and post them on LFCTV online.  I would really enjoy being able to hear the songs, as I live in the USA I miss out on that little bit.

Too many of the songs contain the sort of language LFCTV wouldn't want to be repeating on air!
Have a search on youtube though, TeslaPhysics. There are recordings made in pubs and at the ground although the quality is mixed.

The Suarez song is great but everyone has jumped on and is singing it now, that sky sports advert was the last straw and Bolton were even playing the tune over the speakers when they scored.

My favorites are actually not about Liverpool players, so forgive me for going off topic a little.

Anyone remember Stanley Bowles?



Well Stan used to have a good time off the pitch.

Two that I remember are,

Not a song that was sang in the stadium but I remember the saddest day in Liverpool history - when Traoré left -, and the official website had an article with some tributes from the fans to the legend.

There was a parody of the song "That's Amore" that was hilarious, I only remember a few parts though, such as:

Great isnt it Its not my video though, I found it searching on youtube. I loved Gary Mac but honestly didn't know that song. It was sung for a while in the bar before the game though, and it's been on my head all the time since then!

Steven Gerrard is our captain. Luis Garcia drinks Sangria. Maxi Rodriguez run down the wing for me. He scores a goal and the Kop goes wild and I just can't seem to get enough.
