There this obsession in England that if you are past 18 and haven't made a name for yourself then you are finished.

Perhaps I should have clarified that I meant too old for an academy/reserves player. If they haven't made their mark and become a regular first team player at the age of 22, it's too late for them to have any serious reckoning.

That would mean giving him a new contract seeing as his current one expires next year.

And was MOTM for the sixth time this season in 19 starts. Great accomplishment that is.

You wonder if he could have a similar impact to Ibe if he was brought back (don't know if he can be now?) as Cou has played hell of a lot of football this season

lets hope this development continues, if Ibe becomes a regualar starter he could well find himself in the 1st team next season but more likely he will be loaned out for one more season.

been reading a lot about he not having pace and that he is getting to old etc, but when you got great footwork, trickery that will always get you passed your man that will result in gaining space to play some one in take a shot etc. who do we have at the club to replace Coutinho when he is injured or rested? that is Teixeira BR need to bring him back and start giving him games

lets hope we see more of him in and around the first team next season if hes as good as people say. if i'm honest i've not seen much of him since LFCTV changed from being free and he went on loan but heard great things. i do worry like others have said that he's another Susuo with talent but in a squad full of talent meaning he would have to be special i.e Coutinho special to break in.

he will be used next season i reckon in cup games and the odd sub appreance and if he can do what STerling and Ibe have done then the future is very bright in deed.

Same. As much as I like him, I really can't see a future for him here with Lallana, Coutinho & Sterling. Really hope he's put himself out there and a mid table La Liga team takes a gamble on him , or perhaps a CL team from the weak divisions (Porto, Benfica, Ajax etc).

Makes you wonder really as to why Hughton would come out with sh*t like this as he did recently:
