If I had to pick my PK takers in order of how I would send them out in a shootout it would be :

      1. Adam
      2. Agger
      3. Kuyt
      4. Gerrard
      5. Suarez

Why would you ever stick our best penalty taker fourth, meaning he's not guaranteed to be taking one?

Best three have to be the first three in a shootout, means they'll be taking a penalty regardless.

      My order would be:

      1) Kuyt
      2) Bellamy
      3) Gerrard
      4) Agger
      5) Suarez

In a shoot out with a trophy at stake, those five would deliver.

It's a worrying stat for me.

I only feel confident with Stevie and maybe Bellers too.

You put the best fourth because it is often the most crucial of all of the
. You can put your best third as well but I def don't put my worst two of the five in what are usually the most important spots

Kuyt's penalty was slotting perfectly into the bottom corner but Howard made a great save, so I'd still trust him from the spot.

      My order would be;

      1) Gerrard
      2) Kuyt
      3) Adam
      4) Bellamy
      5) Suarez

Agger strikes me as a no nonsense penalty taker. Think he'd just absolutely drill it and try to take the net off!

Yeah, 7KK7, he looks like he can blast the ball into the net Riise style.

Never seen us miss so many pens, it's very strange to be honest and is likely playing in the heads of the players as much as ours. Gerrard without doubt should be number 1 and Kuyt/Adam/Bellamy/Suarez would be my line-up in a 5. Do believe Agger is well capable and would be confident if I saw him stepping up also but the players mentioned above are all excellent penalty takers I think it's just a mental thing at the moment more than anything else.

Gerrard or Kuyt if he is on the pitch.

      Suarez is no penalty taker.

Carroll and Suarez in the cups can be written off.

Gerrard is superb as is Kuyt, Dirk has only ever missed one and that was a great save. Outside of these two, Luis never looks like he actually knows where he's going to put it, Andy was the same at Chelsea.
I don' think Charle would miss again either too regularly.

      1) Stevie
      2) Dirk
      3) Charlie
      4) Bellers
      5) Agger

I don't think I would pick Hendo, Downing, Luis or Andy....Skrtel would probably take the net off....

Gerrard would definitely have to be in the 1st 3 takers. No point having him in 4th or 5th and it not getting that far! Very bad stat indeed but no reason to hit the panic button just yet. It shouldn't go as far as penos but if it does on Sunday i'd still be extremely confident. I know it's a very hard thing to do, to consistantly place a ball near the top of the net, but how many keepers dive low for penos? 99% of the time they do, so I always feel that a taker is always taking a risk hitting it low. Just smash it for me, the only way to go. Think Gerrard hit one against City this year, and no keeper would ever save it. Anyway if it came to it i'd go,

      1. Kuyt
      2. Gerrard
      3. Bellamy
      4. Adam
      5. Suarez

I've always been under the impression that Suarez scores when he doesn't have too much time to think about it.

Funny, but I don't recall Torres taking many penalties for us either.  Maybe it's just a striker thing.  I'd have Bellamy taking one - and agree that Kuyt has usually done a great job for us.  It was a good save from Howard.

Similar to Torres in his prime.  And there was a reason he didn't take a pen for us as well.

Correct Brian, there is definitely a link with a sh*t hot Torres, Suarez and Rush where apparently time to think is a disadvantage.

Dirk, Stevie and Charlie i would say are our best but Charlie's set pieces have been sh*te ironically while his game play has been better.

Dirk and Stevie are amongst the best in the world for sure though. They'll miss one in ten together.

I think that we only have 2 main penalty takers that is Stevie and Dirk Kuyt.
