Adam's penalty was so sh*t but who cares.

Hopefully, at the very least, Adam cares.

To be fair, Gerrard's miss was a bloody god save.

Adam, has just been called up for Scotland's Rugby team.

He almost missed it as a conversion.

Charlie's was dog sh*te.... Truly terrible.

Stevies whilst a good save was a good height for the keeper.

On the other hand felt jonno's was great.. ( as were Dirks and Downings)

Does it matter if we won? Nah.

3 great Liverpool penalties, to 2 from Cardiff results in Liverpool Football Club winning their record eighth League Cup. That's all that matters, not the ones we missed.

Don't agree what so ever. Dirks and Downings were good cause they went in. Gerrards was prob a better peno. Yes Adams was a freak, and he wouldn't do it again. When you hit a penalty low, you run the risk of the keeper guessing right. If you can perfect scoring with a high peno, then it takes a lot of the risk out of it. Glens was tremendous, the way all pens should be hit!!

Liverpool have a great record in penalty shootouts. We've won 11 out of 13.  :gt-happyup:

Was bricking it when saw Downing and Johnson step up - but kudos to both for having the kahuna's to do so in a final. Curious as to why Bellamy or Suarez where not in the 5 - when Stevie had his saved I kept thinking 'this is just like Rome in 84' .... thankfully same result

Jesus sub-standard is an optimistic view of those pens.

Agree, with the massive exception of Johnson's, which was beautifully struck and unstoppable.

Speaking of penalty shoot outs in finals. I *think* - statto's please correct me if I am wrong -that we have now won 5 major trophies (84 & 05 Champions League, 01 & 12 league Cup & 06 FA Cup) on penalties .... are we the only team to do this ?

It's not having a go to give verdicts on those pens, look we won, great, held our nerve and we only really had one bad pen in the 5, I still say though as well as he struck it and as good a save it was Stevies was a good height for the keeper.. He was unfortunate though because 8/10 of pens struck that well end up in the net.

I'm made up though.. Think jonno and Downing must be higher in the picking during games though now.. Stevie and Dirk still 1 and 2 for us though.. Would put my hat in those two most times..
