Your joking Carrol should be left on the sidelines till he knuckles down as for Henderson he needs to learn how to put a tackle in once in a game, struts around like a prima donna. Time for big changes regarding the sh*t that was signed in the summer

Henderson was never bought as a right winger I want to see him in the middle, the kid is definitely talented. As for Carroll - Kenny needs to back him or get rid. I want to give him a chance, it's been a pretty tough season for him, he should be given the chance to play every game until end of season with the full support of the manager and fans IMO.

One thing is 100% certain Doni will get his first games of the season, or will it be Jones, for his 1st game of the season, or should the unbeaten Jose Enrique keep the gloves?

So nothing is certain then? :D

Enrique Doni; Flanagan, Skrtel, Coates, Enrique; Spearing, Shelvey, Gerrard; Kuyt, Suarez, Bellamy.

Interchanging front three, free role for Gerrard. Play the ones who are most likely to start the Semi Final this weekend and rest them up for the Blackburn match.

Think we'll win this one, it's going to be crucial to build up some momentum before the Everton match.

      2-0.

I don't want Carragher to start.

It's no coincidence that Skrtel plays badly when he's alongside Carra.

Not sure what Liverpool side to expect so i will not be suprised if we smash Villa which we should do at a canter but at the same time wouldnt be a bit shocked at a loss ! Ebd of this pore season cant come soon enough .

I like this team.  I am not too concerned with our league results for the rest of the season, so I think it is time to get some of the youngsters more minutes.  I'd like to see Suso get a cameo in this game as well!!

Am fully expecting a win in this game. The problem is we are so toothless in attack we could well batter them and fail to score, as usual. I'd start Maxi ahead of Downing and Kuyt ahead of Henderson on the right.  I'd probably start Bellamy up front with Suarez.

Leave the flop signings on the bench, where they belong.

Im really worried about Doni, he was letting in 3 goals a game if I remember right from pre season and that was against what you would describe as weaker opposition. The rest of the team really need to pull the finger out, anyone who doesnt give 100% even if we are 5 goals up id drop from the team no matter who they are.

I wouldnt read too much into it, last few years we have had terrible preseasons and always concede lots of goals

Going to this one myself so I'm well up for it.

We have an FA Cup Semi Final coming up yet some of our lads look like they've just booked their Summer holidays. It should be simple for them step up now or you can watch the FA Cup from your house.

In relation to Doni, there are alot worse games he could be called in for. Villa at home SHOULD be a good game to get under his belt for us. I'm 100% behind the lad as long as he gives his all in that shirt. He's waited all season for this moment, at least we'll have one person out there who remembers how lucky they are to get their chance.

I think starting Sterling would be the lad to the lions. Bed him in gradually, a few 15 min cameo's here and there. He has the pace to be a useful impact sub for us for now, but he's a long way off starting a league game.

Upfront this could be a nice game for Carroll to grab a goal. If i remember right 2 of our goals against these earlier in the season came from corners. However if Kenny doesn't start him because of whatever is going on then that's just fine. I like the idea of Kuyt, Suarez and Bellamy in an interchangable front 3. If the supply is there then that is a goal scoring attack.

As for the midfield, I am a huge Shelvey fan and would love for him to start this. A midfield 3 of Gerrard, Shelvey and Downing has the balance of attack and defence and with the front 3 i mentioned earlier makes us flexible to switch in and out of 4-3-3, 4-4-2, 4-4-1-1 or even a 4-2-3-1. Henderson for me is just not the type of player we need for this situation. We need a fighter that is willing to run and fight for every ball for the sake of the team, for me Shelvey and Spearing are those players and for that reason I'd put them ahead in the pecking order.

At the back, I would go for Kelly, Skrtel, Coates, Enrique. This is our future and we need to blood it in now. The chips are down time for the lads to stand up and be counted. Carragher and Aurelio are great servants but these lads need their baptism by fire.

      In Summary my team would be;

                                   Doni

      Kelly           Skrtel         Coates         Enrique

      Gerrard              Shelvey                  Downing

      Kuyt                   Suarez                   Bellamy

Subs; Jones, Carragher, Aurelio, Spearing, Adam, Sterling, Carroll

Finally going to take a stab at my lineup. Here's what I'd go with:

      Doni
      Flanagan Skrtel Coates Aurelio
      Spearing Henderson
      Kuyt     Suarez     Maxi
      Carroll

I'm still a bit pissed at Carroll, but I'm going to take the optimist's viewpoint here. Here's to hoping he can channel that anger he had at Newcastle and (finally) get aggressive. No Gerrard for Saturday (save him for Tuesday), and bring back Kuyt and Maxi to show how it's done.

EDIT: Whoops realize I don't have a captain in there! Give it to Kuyt? Not sure it really matters at this point hah

I think our NEXT game we will see more youth, in order to rest key players for the FA Cup Semi. This game will be, I'd imagine, most of our starting lineup from that game, hopefully getting some chemistry together.

Not putting a shift in you get dropped, simple as. Screw the league positions - this seasons fecked, lets instill some etiquette and make a point. Drop the under performers.

Gerrard looks tired. Carroll can do one. Bellamy needs a run out and Suarez needs some movement next to him. The young ones need a chance to prove their worth too and put some fear into the regular starters.

      My lineup would be;

                                     Doni
      Flanagan     Skrtel           Coates    Enrique
                         Shelvey     Spearing
      Downing                                       Sterling
                          Bellamy     Suarez

Subs: Jones, Kelly/Johnson, Carra, Henderson, Gerrard, Suso,  Kuyt
      Sir Suarez
