Can anyone else see Hoffenheim raising the fee once it becomes apparent we are interested? I wouldn't rule out them asking for £10m, even though they don't even really want him.

I doubt it, but if they do all we have to say is "no thanks."  Then, when Sigurdsson tells them that the only team he will transfer to is LFC, they will be forced to lower their asking price to what they already accepted from Swansea. 

For 7-10m he is worth a punt.

Would definetly improve our attack and all around play. I think with him Gerrard, Shelvey and Aquilani we would have alot of creativity something we lacked for a while. Add to that someone decent with set pieces because our "expert" last year was sh*te.

He's big, great shooting (with either foot), high intelligence, good vision and ability to pull the pass off, a set piece specialist, 22 years old and 7 million quid. He's won player of the season with Reading, Hoffenheim and probably Swansea in the past 3 seasons.

Henderson and Shelvey do not come close to him at the same stage of their careers tbh.

Thanks mate, gives me some good insight on him. I can see why some are so anxious about him. Seems like him and Gerrard as a partnership with Lucas behind them giving them defensive cover is a great idea. And for 7M you really can't go wrong.

I am in agreement with those who think this lad can become a top, top player. I watched him at Swansea v Norwich when I was doing commentary at the Liberty Stadium, Sigurdsson stood out a mile. He's great with both feet, he has an eye for a pass, he's big, strong and an intelligent player. Plus, he is only 22 years old. For £7m, he would be an absolute steal.

Haha, wouldn't go that far. I'm sure there will be talks of him going to Arsenal and United before long.
