I bet your were clicking bold quite speedily in case someone else done it first. ;D

With them first set of games (especially our home ones) one might think that they were picked by someone in an angry whiskey soaked haze. Possibly.

City, United, Arsenal & Everton all in the first 9 fixtures?

      Unbelievable.

And we have City, United & Arsenal all away in 4 fixtures at the beginning of next year.

      You're right mate.

If we play on a Thursday, like we do in the UEFA cup, then we will play our league game on a Sunday or a Monday.

Quite frustating for some people travelling but it is just one of those things. Not the end of the world, we just have to wait patiently before we play our game.

That could F**k up my flight plans a bit mate.

      That is unfortunate mate.

We will play some games on a Saturday, as long as we don't play a UEFA cup game that week, and we aren't being shown on the TV.

I hope you can sort something else mate. They really should have this tournament on a Tuesday/Wednesday at the same time as the CL games. It would make everything far less complicated.

I'm kinda gutted for you mate. Hope a solution can be found.

Glad we're getting some of the "big" games in early. Give the lads a chance to round in to some form and tw*t the teams that we should beat, which is really where top four and title challenges are made, not in the "big" games.

BBC were outbid for live Premier League games

The BBC entered the bidding for live Premier League television rights, it has emerged.

By Paul Kelso 9:08PM BST 20 Jun 2012
The Telegraph understands that of terrestrial broadcasters, only Channel 4 did not bid as the rights for three years from 2013 were sold for a record £3.018 billion.

ITV, Channel Five, and the BBC all bid for at least one of the seven packages the Premier League offered but were ultimately outbid by Sky, who won five, and newcomers BT, who won the other two.

The BBC, who paid £179.7 million to extend their deal to show Premier League highlights until 2016, have had to cut back their portfiolio of sports rights following a reduction in their budget.

They are thought to have bid for one of the smaller packages of live matches, which featured between 10 and 12 games per season.

The eye-popping 70 per cent increase to the overrall deal can largely be explained by the genuine competition for rights provided by BT, which The Telegraph understands, entered bids for all seven of the available packages.

It is thought that, after the first round of bidding, Sky had won only one of the seven packages, leading to vastly improved bids in the second round.

BT and Sky each paid approximately £6.5 million per game. Around 70 per cent of the money is likely to go to players in increased wages.

Sky have released their list of live matches up until early November. The changes to our dates are in bold.

So far, I can't see a complete list of amended fixtures, not even on the Sky Sports site so I'll wait until it's available before asking a mod to change the first post (rather than post an amended list elsewhere in the thread).
