Pre-Season Friendlies and the discussion thereof.
      Jul 05, 2012 05:32:25 pm
I know there are a couple fo threads relating to them but I thought a central meeting point to discuss build up might be an idea.

Hopefully they'll be on LFCtv what with 3 of them being in the U.S of A and we can see what Brendan has in mind before the season kicks off.

      Cannot wait.

A bit odd having the Leverkusen friendly after the Europa League qualifiers. Really thought maybe we should have a friendly a week earlier than our first one.

We are playing Europa League on 2nd and 9th. There may be another arranged for say the 5th but that wouldn't involve many first teamers. I'd expect us to have another friendly after the Leverkusen one though.

      Doubt it.

The league kicks off the following weekend after the Leverkusan game on 18th so I think Brendan will want the players to prepare for that.  On top of this the idiot FA have organised a friendly againsy Italy in Switzerland on 15th just before the season kicks off.

Shame we don't have a game against Wrexham or Crewe before the USA tour.

Wonder if the likes of Morgan and Ngoo will get a chance on the US tour? Unless we sign a striker this week, we'll be playing against Toronto without a senior striker.
