Assaidi said in his interview he can play all across the front line and Shelvey has played as second striker before.

I'm guessing it will be the same team who played Arsenal but maybe Kelly instead of Johnson as the bib theory suggests.

Gerrard needs to put in a good performance today. Him and Sahin went missing against Arsenal. Sahin, I can forgive as it was his first game for us and he hasn't played regularly for a while. Gerrard has been awful this season so far, but as the captain fantastic that he is, he deserves more time to turn it around than other players do.

If, after a few more games he's still not looking up to it, I would consider moving him forward to play in the front 3 with Suarez and Borini/Sterling.

Looked good for England the other day in the centre though, so I'm backing him to come good very soon.

Going to be very tough to get our passing game going on that pitch of theirs. It is atrocious. Going to be a scrap I think hopefully we come out on top and our flair players shine.

Sahin on the bench then, that's what it is looking like. Understandable considering how off the pace he was in his debut, while Shelvey has been playing well. Still great hopes for him though.

I also hope Assaidi is on the bench... he is a totally unknown quantity for me yet and I would love to have a first look at him...

Saw that Sahin may have picked up a knock so he may not feature at all.  I'd like to see Suso on the bench as well.
