Brilliant result. Missed all the match, asides the last 10 minutes though. Does anyone have a link to a replay of the game?

      Agreed.

Well played lads. Some poor defending but did the job and scored 5 goals! That doesn't happen too often away from home in Europe.

really want to see suso more involved in the first team, there was glimpse of his ability to breakdown teams. fingers crossed for BR being impressed by him. Assaidi was decent too.

      91' Di Natale

      Is that a final score?

Be nice to have a two point cushion after the first game!

Overall, well chuffed. The young lads showed the old-timers how it's done, with many of them standing out in a difficult game.

Don't want to criticise too much after a cracking win, but was disappointed by Carragher, Enrique and Downing. Won't say more.

Despite shipping three goals, I thought Jones had a good one as well, couldn't really fault him, when he had a chance he was on the end of crosses and a couple of good saves.

Couldn't expect much more with such a changed team, Rodger's gamble paid off so full credit to him, and for subbing on Jonjo!

Cracking game. My favourite game of the season so far!

Great to see Wisdom, Jonjo and Coates on the score sheet.  Downing looked alot better and the role Henderson played in just mopping up suits him better as i don't think he has it technically. Assaidi looks a prospect too but needs more action and Borini changed the game with both him and Shelvey coming on.

I personally was expecting more from Sahin and Pacheco, and its hard to call our worst performer with probably Enrique pipping Carra to the unwanted spot.

      Roll on united!

Overall well done lads, 5 goals away from home in Europe is always something to take notice of. Defending from both sides was horrible in truth but there were plenty of positives from us, thought Wisdom throughout the match but think he was at fault slightly for one of the goals, still looked class on the ball and extremely confident. Thought Coates was decent enough but our left side was simply horrible, Carra and Enrique both had shocking games in differing ways, Jones didn't really do much to impress either.

Henderson for me had a game of 2 halves, first half couldn't find a pass forward, when Borini and Shelvey came on he sparked to life and really looked good by the end, think one thing that has improved in his game though is the ability to get in and rob the ball and commit to a challenge so a definite plus over the 90. Sahin still looks to lack match fitness, silky on the ball but a bit slow on the awareness side and I think that'll come given more games, Assaidi was also very good while Downing was his usual self really.

Suso had glimpses of real quality amongst a lot of going missing too and Pacheco didn't really figure. Shelvey and Borini changed the game though, we looked so much more of a threat when they came on, also Sterling to a lesser degree, the movement in the opposition half just changed completely and we looked like a proper side. Overall pleased with how looked at the finish but Carra and Enrique big worries for sure as they looked liabilities on more than a few occasions.

pretty much sums it up but i think its unfair to put pacheco with carra and enrique. pacheco is more of AM then a lone striker upfront. put a striker infront of him and i dare to say that he will shine.

Good performance, dreadful at the back and surprisingly that was down to the two senior defenders.

Henderson was fantastic I thought, tackling and passing superbly. Wisdom was great too and I thought Suso grew into the came and went on some good runs.  Great cameo from Jonjo too, second midfielder on the teamsheet after Allen as far as I'm concerned now.

Bet no-one's thinking it's a sh*t competition now, really entertaining match!

We already have three UEFA Cups, and I'm just enjoying seeing us back on the continent again.

My MotM was Brad Jones - thought he had a brilliant game and wasn't to blame for any of the goals

      Wisdom a close second

      Shelves a cose 3rd

      Enrique, Downing, Carra were lacklustre
