he hasnt played for 18 months.  Tore his ACL then had a setback rehabbing and had to have a 2nd surgery.  Lucas had 2 surgeries on his
ACL and now he has no pace and little power.  Its really hard to get back to 100% from 2 knee surgeries.

I know, I don't dispute that. I'm just saying that given recent history (post-Kenny era) it looks like we're going for him because he's cheap which is at the heart of what's wrong with our transfer policy. Bargain basement transfers are a cancer at our club.

yea i agree we're trying to turn water into wine, but 10m euros!!! The kid hasnt played in more than a year and you want to throw that kind of cash when you add 5m to that and you get Mvila.  We dont have time to save 2m bp (Rubin want 12m  to leave in Jan, 10m in summer) just F***ing sign him

I just hope we sign a central midfielder, I don't doubt Rodgers and the transfer committee have looked at a large number of players, it's just about finding the right one at the right price. I don't think romulo is that player, but who knows.

If we miss out on top 4 because we failed to sign reinforcements whilst our rivals do, then we'll be kicking ourselves and the blame will have to lie with someone within the club, although I obviously hope it doesn't come to that.

That's the point though isn't it? They won't throw that extra 5m to get a better player. It's why we keep loosing out on targets. Anyway, I'm not for or against him, I'm just posting the current rumour

we wont until someone else (chelsea in salahs case) force our hand, but then its too late because our shoestring budget wont allow us to compete in a bidding war.

Reported that Arsenal have had a bid accepted for Draxler, but no word on whether Draxler wants to move.  Probably will, and Arsenal will be better because of it.

Suspect he's also being signed with a view to a permanent deal when Lukaku leaves in the Summer and also not being overly reliant on Romelu too.

Only really seen him when he played against us and aside from being absolutely massive looks to have some great technique. Smart signing for them I'd say and can most certainly make an impact.

Sissoko is a free agent aswell.
